‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Welcomes 1st Baby

Kat Graham is officially a mom.

The “Vampire Diaries” star announced the arrival of her first child with husband Bryant Wood in an Instagram post on March 12. The actress shared a carousel of photos featuring herself, Wood and their newborn son while revealing his name to fans.

“Welcome to the world Prospero ‘Spero’ Nyemah Wood,” Graham captioned the post, introducing their baby boy and offering the first glimpse of their new family of three.

The couple’s announcement marks a joyful milestone for Graham, 36, and Wood, who have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight while building a life together.

Kat Graham Announced Her Pregnancy in 2025

Graham first revealed she was expecting her first child in December 2025 with a series of black-and-white Polaroid photos posted to Instagram. In the images, the actress showed off her growing baby bump while Wood stood beside her and gently touched her stomach.

“We’re having a baby!!! ✨,” Graham wrote alongside the photos, while Wood added in the comments, “We are ready!”

Shortly after the announcement, Graham confirmed the couple was expecting a baby boy. “Bryant and I are thrilled to announce that we’re expecting a baby boy,” she told People at the time. “This journey has been filled with so much joy, gratitude and love. We feel incredibly blessed and cannot wait for this next chapter.”

The news was met with excitement from fans who have followed Graham’s career since her time portraying Bonnie Bennett on the long-running CW series “The Vampire Diaries.”

From Close Friends to Marriage and Parenthood

Graham and Wood’s relationship began as a friendship before turning romantic. The two were close friends for years and eventually became business partners, co-founding the wellness company Modern Nirvana with partner Frank Elaridi. The brand focuses on mindfulness, spiritual growth and personal development through retreats, workshops and wellness tools, according to People.

After years of friendship and collaboration, the pair began dating in June 2023. Their romance remained mostly private, and just a few months later they quietly tied the knot during a small legal ceremony in Los Angeles in October 2023.

The ceremony took place at their home with a friend officiating. Graham and Wood wore matching white outfits, and only their dogs were present as witnesses.

The couple later hosted a larger wedding celebration at Chalet Tournesol, a private estate in Mountain Center, California, so they could celebrate their marriage with family and friends.

“We really wanted to have a second wedding because, technically, it was our first real wedding,” Graham told People.

Now, with the arrival of their son Prospero “Spero” Nyemah Wood, the couple is stepping into a new chapter together as parents.
