Kathy Griffin, 65, Hard-Launches Romance With New Boyfriend

Kathy Griffin is in love again.

The 65-year-old comedian went Instagram official with her new boyfriend on Sunday, May 17, sharing a cozy snapshot. When fans flooded her comments with inquiries about whether or not her new beau was famous, Griffin shut it down cheerfully, confirming he is not a celebrity and not in the entertainment industry at all.

Some of her followers thought her new love interest bore a passing resemblance to former cyclist Lance Armstrong, a comparison Griffin found hilarious. Naturally, she brushed it off with a joke.

โ€œOk, iโ€™m dying at these responses,” she replied. “And Lance Armstrong only wishes! Iโ€™ll never forgive him for whatever the hell it is he did to my beloved Sheryl Crow. My dude is not a public person in any way.โ€

Kathy Griffin Debuts New Boyfriend After Years of Challenges

So far, the 2020s have been a rollercoaster filled with headlines, health scares and heartbreak for Griffin. She was diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer in 2021 and had half of her left lung removed. An intubation tube during the operation paralyzed one of her vocal cords, eventually requiring a separate 2023 surgery so she could get her voice back.

If anything tested her more, it was the end of her second marriage. Griffin filed for divorce from marketing executive Randy Bick in December 2023 after roughly four years of marriage. The two had dated since 2012, briefly split in November 2018 and reconciled months later before tying the knot on New Yearโ€™s Day 2020 in a now-iconic ceremony officiated by Lily Tomlin. The divorce was finalized in January 2025.

Griffin has been extremely candid about how brutal the split felt, telling People in October of 2025 that her divorce was โ€œharder than cancer.โ€

Before Bick, Griffin was married to film executive Matt Moline from 2001 to 2006. Her famously eclectic dating life, which she chronicled in books, stand-up specials and her Bravo hit โ€œMy Life on the D-List,โ€ has included a high-profile romance with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in 2007 and 2008, a memorable date with rocker Andrew W.K. and assorted flings she has mined for comedy gold over the years.ย

Griffin Has a New Tour She Kicked Off This Year

Griffin launched her “My Life on the PTSD List” tour in late 2024, and in January 2026 kicked off “New Face, New Tour.” With dates kicking off in September, her latest tour will have a nationwide run across U.S. and Canadian theaters. The name of her show, of course, is a nod at a recent cosmetic procedure, something the actress and funny woman has never been shy about.

Off-stage, Griffin has built a thriving direct-to-audience operation. Her Substack has become a hub for fans, where Griffin dishes on Hollywood and gives the kind of unfiltered personal updates she has become known for. She also remains a fixture on podcasts and social platforms.

Now, she has a new love. Sunday’s post marked Griffin’s first public relationship debut since her divorce from Bick was finalized in January 2025. She has yet to identify her new guy publicly, but that seems to be just the way she wants it right now.
