Lindsey Vonn Shares a Glimpse Into Her Recovery

Vonn’s crash happened just seconds into her race during the Olympics and has left her with a complex tibia fracture, and she developed compartment syndrome, The Guardian reports. She has already undergone multiple surgeries and has been open and honest with fans, regularly providing them with updates on her health. And her latest update came on Tuesday, March 17, when he shared a closer look at what she has been up to. 

In the Instagram post, Vonn shared photos and videos of herself working out. You can also see her relaxing with her beloved dog, and her wheelchair and the large bandage on her leg are visible in her pictures. The athlete kept the caption simple, writing, “Life lately….” 

Despite the pain Vonn is in, she continues to push for her recovery, and the comment section of her post has been flooded with messages praising her strength. “You are a warrior! Such an inspiration!!,” a fan shared. “Strongest human I know,” another person wrote. 

The official Olympic Instagram account reacted, writing, “Champion mentality.” Other reactions include, “the cutest little workout partner,” “May God grant you a safe recovery,” and “Determined, focused… Impressive!” Fans are also referring to Vonn as “Wonder Woman.” 


Lindsey Vonn Praised for Her Strength 

Just three days before her latest update, Vonn shared a video with her fans. She posted the clip of herself biking inside her home on Instagram. She smiles for the camera as she continues to push herself. “Guys…. I’m biking!! Starting with 5 minutes… making progress one day at a time,” she wrote in the caption. 

Fans and celebrities praised her for her strength and attitude. Model and “Dancing with the Stars” competitor Brooks Nader reacted, writing, “THATS MY STRONG GIRL.” And Tennis legend Rafael Nadal commented with four strength-indicating emojis. 

Vonn’s physical and mental strength inspire athletes and fans, and she is determined to make the most of her recovery. Despite her latest injury, Vonn has been open about having “no regrets” about competing because she tried.
