Meghan Trainor, 32, and her husband, Daryl Sabara, 33, announced via Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 20, that they welcomed their third baby! The couple was lucky enough to give birth by using a surrogate.

The songstress detailed her gratitude to her surrogate mother on her Instagram, where she shared seven adorable photos of her new family of five.

“Jan 18th 2026. Our baby girl Mikey Moon Trainor has finally made it to the world thanks to our incredible, superwoman surrogate,” she wrote. “We are forever grateful to all the doctors, nurses, teams who made this dream possible. We had endless conversations with our doctors in this journey and this was the safest way for us to be able to continue growing our family. We are over the moon in love with this precious girl. Riley and Barry have been so excited, they even got to choose her middle name. We are going to enjoy our family time now, love you all.”

After she welcomed her firstborn, Riley, 4, in 2021, Trainor told People in an interview that she was already thinking about having more children. Despite undergoing an unplanned cesarean section due to Riley being breeched, she declared that she was “ready for three more kids.”

In 2024, the “All About The Bass” singer shared a TikTok video explaining how she kept thinking she was pregnant with baby number three. “POV: Looking up if I’m pregnant every time I’m one day late and my husband asks what I’m doing,” she wrote as a text overlay on her video. While Mikey Moon wasn’t in the cards at the time, she continued to hold hope.

Despite her strong will to be a mom, Trainor revealed in a personal essay for TODAY.com in 2025 that after the birth of Barry, she felt like she was having a mental health crisis. Wanting to provide firsthand advice to moms all over the world, she explained how her incredible support team was what got her through the tough time. “I am blessed to be in this situation,” she explained of her therapy, antidepressants and “entire team.”

“I have an incredible nanny who’s here Monday through Friday. My mother lives down the street from me and is always there for me,” she added. “My husband is also so supportive. My managers and my team are my family — they’re at my house all the time and making sure my schedule is kids first, then work. And I have incredible doctors.”
