‘Back to the Future’ Stars Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd Reunite in Sweet Photo

Fans of “Back to the Future” were thrilled after Michael J. Fox shared a new reunion moment with his longtime friend and former co-star Christopher Lloyd.

Fox posted a photo of the two dining together by the beach in a heartfelt Instagram update on Saturday, March 8.

The Touching Post Between Long-Time Friends

The actors, who famously played Marty McFly and Doc Brown in the beloved time-travel franchise, appeared relaxed as they enjoyed time together decades after the films first debuted.

“Dining with my bestie at the beach,” Fox wrote alongside the snapshot. “Next year BTTF is 41. Great Scott. Chris will be 88. That’s some serious [explicative].”

Lloyd quickly responded in the comments, leaning into the nostalgia with a line fans of the film immediately recognized.

“Man, that’s heavy,” he wrote.

The exchange delighted followers, many of whom rushed to the comments to celebrate the enduring friendship between the two actors.

“Lovely you’ve been almost life-long friends,” one fan wrote.

Another added, “Many more great memories ahead for you and The Doc.”

Some commenters couldn’t resist quoting the iconic film, while another joked about how surreal the moment would be to witness in real life: “Imagine casually eating food and looking over to see this table.”

The actors first worked together in the original “Back to the Future,” released in 1985.

The film became a massive success and eventually spawned two sequels, turning the trilogy into one of the most beloved sci-fi franchises of all time.

Michael J. Fox’s Latest Appearance

Just days before sharing the reunion photo, Fox also made a surprise appearance at the Actor Awards, where he spoke during the “I Am an Actor” segment.

The actor reflected on his early career journey, recalling how he moved from Canada to Los Angeles in hopes of making it in Hollywood.

“When I left school, I moved from Canada to LA to try to make it as an actor,” Fox said. “A teacher of mine told me, ‘Fox, you’re not going to be cute forever.’ I didn’t know what to say to that, so I said, ‘Maybe just long enough, sir.’”

Fox went on to reflect on how landing a role on “Family Ties” changed the course of his life.

“After three years of dumpster diving in LA, I ended up on Family Ties, where I received the greatest gift of my career,” he said. “I met my wife, the actor Tracy Pollan, who played Ellen, my girlfriend, and she gave me four gifts: our kids Schuyler, Aquinnah, Esmé and Sam. Sometimes I like to remind them, if it weren’t for acting, they wouldn’t be here.”

Fox also joked about bringing his son, Sam, to the event.

“By the way, he’s not an actor, he’s just my date,” Fox said while gesturing to him, drawing laughs from the crowd. “I’m Michael J. Fox. I’m a dad, and I’m an actor.”
