Pool Cleaning Crew Seen at Nancy Guthrie’s Home as Investigation Hits Day 13

The beautiful Tucson home where 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie once lived a normal life has now become the center of an intense search and investigation as she remains missing on day 13.

As the case stretches into its second week, new developments continue to unfold outside the property, where ongoing activity highlights the urgency and heartbreak of the extensive search.

On Thursday, reporters on the scene captured video of pool service trucks parked outside the property. TMZ reported that a deputy from the Pima County Sheriff’s Office was seen escorting workers from Ambiance Pool Service & Supplies into the backyard.

KPNX-TV reporter Troy Lynch also shared an update on social media, writing, “A pool cleaning service has shown up at Nancy Guthrie’s home. A Pima County Sheriff’s deputy brought them to the backyard.”

Drone footage shared by journalists showed two workers skimming the pool with nets. It remains unclear why the service was called while the home is still under active investigation.

Law enforcement has kept the property secured since Guthrie’s disappearance.

Investigators Review New ‘Suspicious’ Ring Doorbell Video

At the same time, investigators are looking at newly surfaced video that could provide another lead.

The clip was posted on January 23 on Ring’s Neighbors app. It shows a dark-haired man with facial hair approaching a home about 6.5 miles from where Guthrie lives. The video captures him backing up to the front door around 5 a.m., seemingly trying to avoid being seen clearly.

Even so, the doorbell camera captures a partial image of him as he rings the bell. The homeowner later said the man ran off when the dogs inside the house started barking.

TMZ reports that law enforcement sources say investigators are “absolutely” reviewing the footage as a potential lead. Authorities have not confirmed any direct link between the man in the video and Guthrie’s disappearance.

The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department are both aware of the clip and are examining it as part of their respective investigations.

Facial Hair Detail Draws Comparisons to FBI Images

Authorities earlier released doorbell images captured at Guthrie’s home the night she disappeared. The stills show a person wearing what appears to be a knitted ski mask.

Despite the mask, facial hair resembling a goatee or short beard can be seen underneath.

Federal officials have described the suspect as a man of average height and build with facial hair. In previously released footage from Guthrie’s home, he is also seen carrying a backpack. Investigators are urging residents within a 2-mile radius to review any security footage recorded in January.

This is a developing story as Nancy Guthrie remains missing and the Tucson community continues to rally in hope for her safe return.
