Ryan Gosling Makes Sweet RARE Television Appearance With His Partner for 1st Time In Over a Decade [VIDEO]

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes thrilled their fans when they made a super rare joint appearance on the March 5 episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” The episode marked the first time in over 10 years that the famously private pair, who began dating in 2011, has made a televised appearance together.

The occasion was Mendes’ 52nd birthday, and Gosling stunned the audience by inviting her to the stage to be serenaded. The “Hitch” star smiled and waved as she emerged from backstage dressed in jeans and a striped cardigan over a black graphic tee. Gosling, who was there to promote his new sci-fi film “Project Hail Mary” that released March 20, sweetly stood up and grabbed her hand. The “Notebook” star joked, “You might find me in the Hudson River tomorrow,” alluding to his partner’s apparent preference for keeping their love out of the limelight.

Mendes went on, “I had so many amazing teachers mentor me, and I just want to say thank you to you guys.”

After Mendes’ concluded her remarks of gratitude for teachers, Gosling announced, “We have the band directors from North Bergen High School.” Fallon then cut in, “Ladies and gentleman, here to play ‘Happy Birthday’ to Eva Mendes! Please welcome the North Bergen High School Marching Band!” The band then stepped out dressed in full uniforms and carrying a giant banner to wish the actress a happy birthday. Gosling clapped and sang along with the crowd.

At the end of the short performance, Mendes was showered in confetti before Fallon gestured to Gosling and declared, “That’s all him!” The couple then shared an embrace where Mendes appeared to whisper something in Gosling’s ear. The segment wrapped up with Fallon inviting everyone in the audience to an exclusive screening of “Project Hail Mary.”

Gosling and Mendes were first linked when they were spotted visiting Disneyland together and sharing a kiss in Paris shortly after starring together in the 2011 film “The Place Beyond the Pines.”

They are the parents of two daughters, who were born in 2014 and 2016, according to People’s relationship timeline for the pair.
