Savannah Guthrie Plans Return to NYC as Search for Nancy Continues: REPORT

Savannah Guthrie is preparing to return to New York after nearly a month in Arizona, as the search for her missing mother enters a painful new phase, according to the Daily Mail.

The outlet noted that Savannah Guthrie plans to head back to New York City this weekend after spending close to four weeks in Tucson, where her 84-year-old mother, Nancy, was abducted in the early hours of February 1.

The alleged kidnapping from Nancy’s Catalina Foothills home has triggered an extensive investigation and an agonizing wait for answers.

Law enforcement agencies, including the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, have conducted a large-scale search.

There Have Been No New Information on Nancy’s Whereabouts

So far, however, there has been no confirmed breakthrough.

Authorities have publicly acknowledged a disturbing surveillance video showing a masked, armed suspect carrying a backpack near Nancy’s home around the time investigators believe she was taken.

In the weeks since, the family has reportedly endured additional torment in the form of ransom letters — including one demanding $6 million in Bitcoin and setting an alarming deadline that passed without proof of life.

In response, Savannah has now offered a $1 million reward for information leading to her mother’s safe return which was revealed in a heartbreaking Instagram video.

Despite the ongoing uncertainty, sources say the longtime co-anchor of “Today” is preparing to resume her professional responsibilities, with NBC quietly making room for her eventual return.

The decision has not come easily.

“She can’t stay in Arizona forever,” a source told the Daily Mail. “Her kids and her life are in New York City. It’s what her mom would want her to do. Nancy was Savannah’s biggest cheerleader.”

Feldman Has Been Flying Back and Forth

Guthrie, 54, shares two young children with her husband, Michael Feldman, and insiders say she is trying to balance the demands of motherhood, career, and an unimaginable personal crisis.

Feldman was previously spotted earlier in the month in Arizona, as Page Six previously reported he has been flying back and forth between the two cities.

Another source described her as composed under extraordinary pressure. “She has been remarkable,” the insider said. “Strong, composed, faithful — even when she’s breaking inside.”

Privately, those close to the family are confronting a sobering possibility: the search could stretch on far longer than anyone hopes.

“The family is coming to terms with the fact that this might take years,” a source said, adding that Guthrie is “craving normalcy” after weeks of emotional upheaval.
