First Look at New Movie That Reunites ‘Game of Thrones’ Stars

The Dreadful” is an upcoming gothic horror film that is due to hit cinema screens in February and fans can now get a first look at the action. Starring both Sophie Turner and Kit Harington, it reunites the two “Game of Thrones” stars who memorably played siblings from House Stark and had hugely significant roles in the HBO fantasy series

“The Dreadful” Reunites Sophie Turner and Kit Harington

Thanks to an exclusive first look from Entertainment Weekly, viewers can get the first glimpse of both Turner and Harington working together for the first time since “Game of Thrones” came to an end.

Set in medieval England, the movie follows Turner’s character Anne who lives with her mother-in-law — portrayed by Marcia Gay Harden — and finds a figure from her past unexpectedly returning to their lives in the form of Harington’s Jago.

The photographs that Entertainment Weekly obtained show the two actors sitting and talking together in what appears to be intensely emotional scenes both in a woodland area and on the shoreline.

Written and directed by Natasha Kermani, who has worked on the likes of “Abraham’s Boys” and “Lucky,” the working environment was seemingly incredibly positive thanks to the close relationship of the two leads.

“Working with this cast was a joy from start to finish, and of course, to see Kit and Sophie back together onscreen was a special thrill,” Kermani explained.  “Their friendship and chemistry is impossible to miss and one of my favorite aspects of the film.”

Sophie Turner and Kit Harington Share Displeasure Over Kissing Scenes

Having famously played siblings in “Game of Thrones,” this movie sees the two having a more romantic relationship and the pair were required to kiss — something that they both found strange considering their friendship and the past roles they played.

“We get on set, and it’s the first kissing scene, and we are both retching,” Turner told Seth Meyers on Late Night. “Like, really, it is vile. It was the worst. Another really bad moment in my career.”

Meanwhile, Harington went on to explain how the height difference between the two actors posed a problem and what it was like to work with Turner again.

“[I had] to get on an apple box to kiss her because she’s about a foot taller than me,” Harington told E! News. “What was lovely is that we got on set together and our friendship completely ignited again. It felt like being with family. It really did.”
