Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun have been in the headlines lately for a rumored romance. Star Magazine was among the first outlets to report on the dating news, saying the 27-year-old actress was dating 44-year-old Braun after the two were spotted spending time together in Italy.
Now, TMZ has declared the pair’s relationship is official, saying they’ve received intel about the match-up from “multiple sources with direct knowledge.” Read on to learn everything we know so far.
Multiple Outlets Say Sydney Sweeney & Scooter Braun Are In a Relationship
Star Magazine said on August 29, 2025 they could exclusively reveal Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun are dating. The report says Star learned from a source that the former talent manager, who has worked with names such as Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, was telling people close to him that the relationship was a go, but he wanted to keep things on the low for the time being.
As of September 2, TMZ has also jumped in to confirm the reports. The outlet says sources have told them the pair has had multiple dates, but claims things are “casual.”
The report quotes once source as saying Sweeney is just “doing what girls in their 20s do” by casually dating.
Back in June, Sweeney and Braun were spotted chatting together at the Venice wedding of Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos. A TikTok user called @mummybossadventure captured and shared a clip of the moment when Sweeney, wearing a flowing floral dress, walked side by side with Braun, who donned casual summer shorts. Both covered up their eyes with stylish shades.

People reported on May 31, 2025 that Sweeney had spoken out about her split from Davino, whom she called “a business guy from Chicago,” two months after calling off their engagement. The report says Sweeney confirmed she was single in an interview that month with The Times, before saying, “I’m learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I’m loving it.”
People says the pair got engaged in 2022, after first being spotted at a basketball game in 2019. The two were spotted together for one of the last times in April 2025, after news broke that the wedding had been cancelled.
Meanwhile, Scooter Braun has been divorced from his ex-wife, 38-year-old Yael Cohen Braun, since 2022 after filing the previous July.
E! News says he spoke out about his ex, with whom he shares three kids, on “The Diary of a CEO” podcast to say, “We’re family forever. It goes both ways. It’s not like there was one thing happening. Both people have to play a role in where we got to. Things happened both ways.”
