It’s a joyful new chapter for Taylor Lautner and his wife, Tay Lautner!
The couple announced they are expecting their first child together in a sweet Instagram post shared on Thursday, March 26.
In the photos, the pair posed in a scenic field, proudly holding up sonogram images.
All About the Sweet Annoucement
In one particularly tender moment, the actor leaned down to kiss his wife’s stomach as she smiled, dressed in a simple white skirt and tank top.
“What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?🤍,” they joked in the caption, referencing their now-famous shared name.
The announcement marks a major milestone in the couple’s love story, which first became public in 2018.
After several years together, Lautner proposed in November 2021 with a romantic setup filled with candles and rose petals.
Sharing the moment at the time, he wrote, “And just like that, all of my wishes came true.”
The engagement photos captured an emotional scene, with Lautner down on one knee as Tay covered her mouth in surprise.
In another shot, she joined him on the floor, holding his face as the two celebrated the moment.
She later described him as her “absolute best friend,” adding that she couldn’t wait to “spend forever” with him — a sentiment Lautner quickly echoed.
The couple tied the knot in November 2022 and have since been open about their relationship, even cohosting their podcast, “The Squeeze,” where they’ve shared personal insights into their life together.
The Two Previously Talked About Fertility
In fact, the journey to this pregnancy included honest conversations about fertility.
During a January 2025 episode of the podcast, Tay revealed she had undergone a check-in with her doctor after concerns were raised about her long-term use of birth control.
She admitted she was initially nervous after being told there could be potential issues, recalling that the possibility of not being able to have children had long been a personal fear. However, she later shared reassuring news.
“We’re in the clear. I got a lot of eggs,” she said, adding that the update gave her “a lot of peace of mind.”
Tay also opened up about the emotional weight many women carry when it comes to fertility, noting that societal pressure can make it feel like the responsibility falls entirely on them.
“I think a lot of women struggle with that because it’s always our fault, if we can’t get pregnant,” she explained.
Now, with their baby on the way, the couple appears to be stepping into parenthood with gratitude and excitement.
Their announcement was met with an outpouring of support from fans, many celebrating alongside them as they prepare to welcome their newest addition.
