“Tell Me Lies” is returning for a new season on Hulu, with the drama set to kick off season 3 tomorrow. The series will premiere with its first two episodes on Tuesday, January 13, as the show heads back to Baird College for another semester of messy relationships and lingering fallout.
Based on Carola Lovering’s book of the same name, “Tell Me Lies” follows the complicated connection between Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White), whose relationship continues to ripple through their friend group.
According to the official log line, season 3 will show Lucy and Stephen reconnecting in time for the spring semester — but their past remains impossible to outrun.
“While they promise things will be different this time, past indiscretions hinder their best intentions, and Lucy finds herself embroiled in a controversy with which she wants nothing to do,” the synopsis teases.
“Meanwhile, the disastrous repercussions from the previous year also force Lucy and Stephen’s friends to face their own destructive behaviors.”

‘Tell Me Lies’ Season 3 Cast Updates and What’s Next
Season 3 brings back the core cast, including Grace Van Patten as Lucy and Jackson White as Stephen. Returning cast members also include Spencer House (Wrigley), Catherine Missal (Bree), Sonia Mena (Pippa), Branden Cook (Evan), Alicia Crowder (Diana), and Tom Ellis (Oliver), according to Hulu.
The new season also adds Iris Apatow as Amanda in a recurring role, described as a bright freshman who may not be as straightforward as she seems. Costa D’Angelo joins as Alex, a new series regular whose life overlaps with both school and danger — and whose past ties suggest Bree may not be done dealing with the consequences of last season.
Season 2 ended with several major storylines still unresolved, and the season 3 synopsis makes it clear that those repercussions will continue. With Lucy drawn into a new controversy and Stephen back in her orbit again, the show appears to pick up with the same question hanging in the air: can anyone actually move forward without repeating the same damage?
