Tom Cruise Makes Big ‘Sudden’ Move: REPORT

Tom Cruise has just made a major move that even surprised those around him. The actor has suddenly left his home in London after fours years of living in the U.K., with plans to return to the U.S., the Daily Mail first reported on January 24.

“Cruise, 63, is understood to have taken up residence in a $47 million unit overlooking Hyde Park several years ago, having begun spending much of his professional and personal time in the U.K., where he has shot multiple movie projects throughout his career,” according to Realtor.com.

“Concierge at the apartment block in London’s Knightsbridge, where Cruise … has been living … are said to have been left ‘stunned’ by the star’s sudden departure,” according to the Daily Mail.

“It all happened very quickly, it was a surprise to the staff at the building where his penthouse is,” a source close to Cruise told the Daily Mail while noting that employees were spotted moving boxes out of the star’s London residence.

The insider noted that the move is surprising due to the fact that Cruise has created a life for himself in the U.K., both personally and professionally.

‘It’s most strange,” the source told the outlet. “The U.K. became both his professional headquarters and private playground, with discrete dates, tightly-guarded movements and late-night arrivals. England became far more than just a filming base.”

Cruise opened up about his love of the U.K. back in 2022 in an interview with the Mirror.

“I guess I am an Anglophile,” he said. “I spend a lot of time in Britain, and that’s not just for work reasons. I just love being here.”

“It’s a fantastic blend of old and new,” he added. “I love seeing the sights, the Tower of London, Nelson’s Column, Buckingham Palace and all those fantastic places which are just full of history.”

“Britain is trendy, too, and has a lot that other countries then copy. I also love the British countryside,” Cruise continued. “It is breathtaking and I found myself wanting to explore more and more.”

Indeed, the source told the Daily Mail that Cruise loved to hop in a helicopter and fly out to the countryside.

Cruise told the Mirror, “That’s the reason I have made a few other visits in my own time that have nothing to do with work. Everyone is pleasant and will give you a nod or say hello without crowding you. I was brought up to be well-mannered and you really get that in Britain.”
