The 83rd Annual Golden Globes marked a first for many entertainers — from Kevin Hart being nominated for his Netflix special “Kevin Hart: Acting My Age” to Snoop Dogg presenting Amy Poehler with her first Golden Globe for her “Good Hang” podcast, the ceremony was loaded with notable moments.

Hailee Steinfeld’s Baby Bump

Steinfeld announced her pregnancy on December 12 via her Substack and Instagram. This will be her first child with husband Josh Allen, whom she married in May 2025. Congrats, girl!
Rose Byrne’s Unexpected Win

When her name was called, she appeared in utter shock. While her first Golden Globe win was enough to celebrate, it would be her acceptance speech that stole the show. As a comedian at heart, she joked about bringing her brother as her date, leaving her husband behind to buy reptiles and how her parents subscribed to Paramount+ all the way from Australia to see their daughter hopefully take home the honor. To her shock, she did! Although she noted that she didn’t sing a single note in the film, her gratitude was more than evident.
Wanda Sykes Roasts Nominees

When speaking of Kevin Hart, she noted how he was the richest person to have been nominated in the category, yet he was the one who wanted the award the most. As for the winner, Ricky Gervais, who did not attend the award show, Sykes said she hoped he won so she could accept the award on his behalf just so she could thank anyone she wanted to — and she did!
Amy Poehler’s Notorious Humor
