Wrestling in the WWE comes along with a fair share of risks, generally related to injuries. However, Jacy Jayne just experienced another kind of incident while in the ring that caused multiple blackouts during a live event. As People notes, “Jayne suffered a major wardrobe malfunction at NXT Stand & Deliver in St. Louis.”
The Screen Went Black Multiple Times Due to Jayne’s Outfit Issue
Taking place on Saturday, April 4, “[d]uring a triple-threat match between Kendal Grey, Lola Vice and Jayne, 29,” per People, “the former NXT Women’s Champion” — who “held the title for 137 days after winning it from Tatum Paxley at Halloween Havoc in October” — “experienced an unexpected wardrobe malfunction in the middle of the match.”
While Grey had Jayne in an ankle lock, the broadcast went black and although it came back in blips before returning to a black screen, People explains that “fans at home could catch a glimpse of Jayne’s top as it appeared to slide down, exposing her chest.”
People also points out that “[w]hile Jayne was eventually able to pull her top back over chest after attempting to pin her opponent, she ultimately lost the NXT Women’s Championship title to Vice, 27.”
When Ringside News posted about what happened on Instagram, plenty of the wrestler’s fans left comments, with one person writing, “Love the way she was like ‘F’it’ and kept fighting like a warrior 🔥🔥🔥🔥”
Following the incident, Jayne took to X, and didn’t mention the wardrobe malfunction, but did address the match, writing, “Proud..but most importantly grateful🖤”
Plenty of Stars Have Faced Wardrobe Malfunctions

Us Weekly points out that “[f]rom split pants and broken straps to showing more skin than initially anticipated, stars have had their fair share of cringe-worthy wardrobe malfunctions. And most of the time, it’s all going down in the public eye.”
“Take Miley Cyrus for example. The singer kicked off 2022 with her NBC New Year’s special. And while her show was going off without a hitch, things took a turn just before midnight,” according to Us. “While in the middle of her ‘Party in the USA’ performance, the strap on her top snapped right off.”
On top of that, “[w]hile performing in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in August 2025, [Camila] Cabello’s corset came undone,” per Us, and there was the time that Katy “Perry’s sculptural Kate Barton top broke off in the middle of judging a contestant on an April 2024 episode of American Idol.”
