Alicia Silverstone shone bright at the 2025 Critics’ Choice Awards while wearing a glittery silver gown. Although she looked stunning during the event, the dress ended up giving her some trouble after her big night out.
In a video posted on Instagram, the actress revealed that she had gotten stuck in her dress. Seeking help from her ex-husband, musician Christopher Jarecki, and son, Bear, the star laughed — and adorably snorted — as her family tried to get her out of her ensemble.
“When you get home from the Critics Choice Awards and your dress refuses to come off… 🤷🏼♀️🤪,” she wrote in the caption of her post. “I ran across the street to Christopher’s for help from him and our son, Bear… still couldn’t get it off 😭”
She then added, “PS: Backup was called so I changed into Bear’s and his dad’s clothes 🥰”

Before posting the video of Silverstone’s fashion-related mishap, she shared a few photos of herself in the stunning gown in another Instagram post.
Indicating in her caption that the dress was a creation by Stella McCartney, InStyle explained, that the gown “featured a strapless neckline, super cinched waist, figure-hugging construction, swaths of decadent drapery, a floor-sweeping skirt, and dozens of glittery sequins everywhere.” Silverstone “paired the centerpiece with dazzling diamond drop earrings and a smattering of diamond rings.”
The dress also sparked plenty of admiring comments from the star’s social media followers.
