Charlie Sheen has been in the news quite a bit thanks to the upcoming release of his Netflix documentary, “aka Charlie Sheen.” Now, he has reunited with his ex-wife, actress and former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Denise Richards. This comes 19 years after their messy divorce.
Sheen and Denise tied the knot in 2002. They had their first daughter, Sami, in 2004 and their second, Lola, in 2005. Sadly, they divorced in 2006.
Sheen Attended the Premiere For his Documentary, and So Did Richards
Netflix held the Hollywood premiere of Sheen’s “aka Charlie” documentary on September 4. Several celebrities were in attendance, and Richards was among them. Of course, this should come as no real surprise, as the two have been on better terms in more recent years. Sadly, this reunion comes as she’s currently going through another messy divorce.
For the premiere, Sheen opted for a classic black suit, complete with a white shirt. Richards wore a pair of black pants and a matching shirt. She also wore a necklace with a cross attached to it. Both were all smiles as they posed for photos on the red carpet.

Sheen and Richards posed for another picture while on the red carpet. This time, they were joined by Andrew Renzi, who directed “aka Charlie Sheen.” Renzi wore a pair of khaki pants and a short-sleeved polo-style shirt for the premiere of the documentary as he towered over both Sheen and Richards.

She Says They are on Better Terms
The divorce between Sheen and Richards was very public. However, while promoting “Denise Richards & Her Wild Things,” she told PEOPLE that they had come a long way in regards to co-parenting and being on better terms.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum said in February 2025, “He saw the trailer and sent me such a wonderful sweet positive text.” Richards added, “I was actually really surprised. It meant a lot to me.”
She then said, “Charlie is always invited to holiday dinners. There’s always an open door, and that goes for Brooke and the boys as well. I’m always, the more the merrier. I want everyone to get along and everyone to be peaceful.”
Regarding “aka Charlie Sheen,” it’s a two-part documentary that premieres on Netflix on September 10. It features Sheen, who has been sober for over seven years, discussing his life, fame, and public downfall.
