Kandi Burruss and all her best friends turned up in Thailand to celebrate the “No Scrubs” songwriter’s 50th birthday. The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, who wrapped up her long run on the reality show in 2024, took her girls to the beautiful island destination of Phuket to celebrate the milestone.
In one of her many social media posts documenting the blowout vacay, the group performed a choreographed dance which Kandi revealed was put together by Shamea Morton, who has appeared alongside Kandi on “RHOA” for several years.
Kandi revealed the group first stopped in Bangkok before continuing the celebrations in Phuket. The Taurus, who was born on May 17, 1976, showed off her abs in a gold bikini at one point why sampling a tasty plate of food. She revealed in the comments that she hadn’t been playing it up for the camera, telling her fans “I didn’t even know they were recording me! So you know that food was good!!!!”
Kandi Burruss Talked About Her Major Slimdown A Few Months Before Her Tropical Birthday Getaway
Back in January 2026, Kandi told her followers she’d dropped an incredible 16 pounds in under 2 months, going from 161 to 145.
“I gotta keep this going! Gonna be the best version of myself!” she wrote, after attributing her weight loss to prayer, fasting, diet changes, and “a little stress.” The 5’3 songstress also made it known that she hasn’t taken any weight loss meds.
Kandi Reflects On ‘First Birthday As a Single Woman’
Last week as she checked into her luxurious hotel room at the Four Seasons in Bangkok, Kandi opened up about what was on her mind going into her birthday festivities.
The Xscape co-founder acknowledged, “This is my first birthday as a single woman in over 12yrs. I didn’t know how it was gonna be but my friends outdid themselves to make sure this bday trip was special!”
She said as a “room snob,” her hotel room luckily met her standards, and told her friends they did a “great job.” She credited Carmon for taking the lead in putting the getaway together.
The mogul shared more thoughts on her newfound single status in an AJC interview in mid-May. She said, “I’m just learning how I want to move as a solo person. I’m just trying to enjoy myself this coming year.”
She went on to say she doesn’t have any regrets about her relationship with Todd. “I feel like we had a good marriage. It was great while it was great.” She also said she coparents well with Todd, and they both join in on trips and activities together when their children request it.
The “Bedroom Kandi” owner also talked about her loyalty, saying, “My family members and my super super close friends, there’s pretty much nothing they can do to make me cut them off for life. That’s just how I am
Kandi announced her split from Todd Tucker, her husband of 11 years, around Thanksgiving 2025. Since then, Todd has remained publicly support of Kandi and her career, reposting the poster for her “I Do, I Did, I’m Done” shows and encouraging fans to grab tickets.
The 52-year-old, with whom Kandi shares her two youngest children, Ace and Blaze, shared a warm message for Kandi’s birthday in which he wished her “good health, wealth, peace and happiness.”
