Former “Real Housewives” star Kim Richards made a rare fan appearance. The Bravo TV veteran was a guest at the Chiller Theatre Expo, which was held at the Hilton in Parsippany, NJ, from April 24-26.
Richards, 61, had a booth set up at the horror/sci-fi and fantasy fan fest. She greeted fans and posed for photos while standing in front of a poster that featured images from her childhood acting career on ‘70s TV shows and movies such as “Hello Larry” and “Escape to Witch Mountain.”
In video clips posted on social media, the RHOBH alum looked happy and healthy as she chatted it up with fans while wearing a cowboy hat.
In addition to Richards, the Chiller Theatre Expo roster included celebrity guests Heather Locklear, Lorenzo Lamas, Sally Struthers, Linda Blair, Robert Smigel, and more.
Fans Reacted to the Kim Richards Sighting
Richards was a main cast member on RHOBH from 2010 to 2015 before exiting the show to focus on her sobriety and mental health. She is rarely seen in public these days after making a move out of the Los Angeles area.
In a post to Reddit, one fan shared a video from the convention that showed Richards greeting a fan.
“For those who are wanting updates on Kim’s whereabouts and life, it’s not much, but good to see her!” the fan captioned the clip.
“I’m always rooting for Kim, love seeing her happy and comfortable like this!” one fan commented.
“I’m so glad she’s able to go to events where she’s celebrated & showered in love,” another wrote. “The horror fandom is ironically a lot less toxic than the Housewives fandom, so some solace must come with the fact this crowd wasn’t waiting with claws out to turn on her.”
“I loved the Witch Mountain movies, so I’ve always had a soft spot for her. It’s nice to see her look genuinely happy in this video,” a fourth agreed.
“Horror fans are some of the kindest fans out there, so I’m glad she’s in spaces where people give her a lot of love,” another fan chimed in.
“Remember when she did the one convention in S3 (maybe 2 or 4?) and she said, ‘My fans say what I’ve done for them, but they have no idea what they’ve done for me’ and that was such a special thing to say. She won me over hard with that,” another added.
Kim Richards Started a New Life in Florida
GettyAt the RHOBH Season 14 reunion filmed last year, Richards’ sisters confirmed that she had moved to Florida after living most of her life in California. “She’s spending time there, you know. I think she’s doing better,” Kathy Hilton said of her sister’s move to the East Coast.
In November 2025, Kyle Richards told the Daily Dish that her sister was “good” after moving from California to Florida.
Soon after, Hilton noted that she couldn’t see Kim returning to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” despite constant fan requests to see her back on Bravo. “She’s doing really well,” Hilton told Entertainment Tonight. “[But] I don’t think [the show’s] for her. And she’s a very talented actress, too, so it’s … I don’t know. I don’t think she really is interested [in returning].”
