Kyle Richards is preparing to be a grandma weeks after her eldest daughter Farrah Aldjufrie’s surprise pregnancy announcement.
In a recent interview, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star admitted she has already done plenty of shopping ahead of her first grandchild’s arrival in November.
“[I’ve already bought] so many things for this baby already,” Richards told Bravo Insider in the interview. ‘I cannot wait. I feel like I need to have all the things too: like, a baby Bjorn and a stroller and a car seat. I want all the things.”
The mom of four also confirmed that her first child will have a nursery in the family’s main home in Encino, California.
“Oh, of course, of course, yes,” the RHOBH OG shared.

In July 2026, Farrah, 37, posted her pregnancy news on Instagram, posting a photo of herself holding a sonogram and telling fans she was ready for her “most exciting launch yet.”
Richards reacted in the comment section with, “I can’t wait for this new chapter!! 🥹🙏 I love you so much Fairy!”
Speaking with Bravo Insider, Richard admitted she was caught off guard by her daughter’s baby news.
“Just complete shock,” Richards said of her initial reaction. “Complete shock. I mean, she called me, and she said, ‘Are you alone? Who are you with?’ And then she just blurted it out. And I was driving, and I just stopped my car. And then I just start freaking out, so excited.”
“And it was just really exciting. I’m so excited,” Richards added of the special moment.
Richards noted that she ultimately drove to her daughter’s house and then they surprised her ex, Mauricio Umansky, and Farrah’s sisters Alexia, Sophia and Portia Umansky. with the news.
In a video shared to Instagram, Farrah held up a positive pregnancy test as she told her sisters that she was pregnant. Everyone was shocked, with youngest sibling Portia joking that she wouldn’t be able to go away for college now.
Farrah’s pregnancy news was also a surprise to fans. The Agency executive has been seemingly single ever since breaking off her engagement to her former fiancé Alex Manos in 2024. But she’s long wanted to have a baby.
When she was engaged, she told Us Weekly she would be fine with skipping the wedding and going straight into motherhood. “I’m like can we just skip the wedding and get to the baby part?” she said in 2023.
Kyle Richards Will Let Her Grandchild Pick Her Grandma Name
Richards has not yet decided if she would like to be called a grandmother name such as “grandmom,” “grandma,” “granny,” “nanny” or anything else.
“I do not know what the baby is gonna call me,” the grandmother-to-be told People magazine earlier this month. “I can pick a name. We’ve been trying to pick a name. All of us throw names out there all the time.”
“I think it ultimately will probably end up being whatever the baby decides my name is,” Richards shared.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” veteran added that she felt blessed. “I just can’t believe that that time is here in my life,” she said.
