Meredith Marks Says ‘RHOSLC’ Plane Blowup With Britani Bateman Was ‘Wrong Time’

Meredith Marks and Britani Bateman weren’t exactly what anyone would call friends throughout “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” Season 6. Now, the up-and-coming DJ has given fans an update on what exactly caused her to get so heated during that disastrous plane ride.

“I vented to Lisa [Barlow]. It was the wrong place and the wrong time,” Meredith, 54, told “Variety” in an interview published on Tuesday, January 28. “Everything I said, I had said to Britani’s face, so I don’t regret saying it. It wasn’t like I was gossiping behind somebody’s back. So, I’m not going be sorry for that.”

In season 6, Meredith and Bateman had an argument during a plane ride home from their trip in the Caribbean. No footage was recorded and it was ultimately a case of he said, she said. However, the fight was rooted in a TikTok video that allegedly showed Meredith’s husband, Seth, in an Uber with another woman, something Meredith has consistently said was not true.

When asked why the TikTok managed to “get under her skin,” Meredith said it was “the intention of it all.”

“It was a very obscure TikTok. I couldn’t find it. I had to have it sent to me by someone from production, and it was like a gossip session,” Meredith continued. “Britani wants to project her miserable relationship onto me. I’m sick of it. My marriage has come under fire. Yes, we went through a horrible time. I talked about it, but when I am saying things are good now you don’t want to believe me You want to say I’m this crazy liar.”

Meredith Marks Has Been Open About Her Marriage Issues in the Past

In season 1, fans saw Meredith and Seth work through a trial separation. Seth had even previously filed for divorce in 2019, but eventually withdrew the petition.

During “RHOSLC” Season 5, Meredith and Seth hit a rough patch and she explained that his travel schedule was taking its toll on their marriage. In an interview with “Life & Style” in November 2024, Meredith said a lot of their issues in the past were due to lack of communication.

“When Seth and I weren’t talking about it the first time, before I was ever even on ‘Housewives,’ that’s when the problems were really bad,” she told the outlet. “When it’s not that bad, you’re talking about it and hopefully it doesn’t escalate to that level when you’re not talking about it. It’s probably pretty far gone.”

The mom of three continued, “I think sometimes it’s when you’re talking, you’re in a better space because it’s like you’re looking for resolution, you’re working through it. When you’re quiet and not talking about it, you’re probably totally checked out.”

Earlier this month, Meredith gave fans another update when she appeared on Tamra Judge’s “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast and said that she and Seth were “just fine.”
