NeNe Leakes is giving fans a new update on her relationship with Andy Cohen years after their very public fallout.
Speaking with Vulture, the former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star said she no longer holds onto negativity surrounding her past issues with Cohen or the legal battle tied to her Bravo departure.
“I am the kind of person that, good or bad time, heals,” Leakes said. “You don’t have to be besties or anything like that, but I move forward. I’m not into holding energy.”
Although Leakes confirmed they have exchanged text messages, she said the two have not yet reconnected in person.
Their reconciliation has become a major topic among longtime Bravo viewers.
Leakes and Cohen were once one of Bravo’s closest on-screen friendships, with Leakes appearing on “Watch What Happens Live” countless times during the height of RHOA. Their fallout became one of the most talked-about behind-the-scenes fractures in the network’s history after Leakes’ departure from “Real Housewives”.
Her latest comments come as Leakes slowly reenters the Bravo world after years of tension with the network. Over the past year, Leakes has discussed future projects and made several Bravo-related appearances.
One of the clearest signs came when Leakes confirmed she would appear on the upcoming season of “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.”
The main cast includes Luann de Lesseps, Vicki Gunvalson, Teresa Giudice, Porsha Williams, Kyle Richards, Gizelle Bryant and Lisa Barlow. Leakes is expected to make a small cameo.
The upcoming season has already generated major fan attention because it marks one of Leakes’ biggest returns to Bravo since leaving RHOA. Her involvement alone sparked widespread conversation online when the cast was announced.
When announcing the news on social media, Leakes acknowledged how unexpected the moment felt after such a difficult chapter with Bravo.
“This has been a really long journey,” she shared. “I’m happy, overjoyed, to say that I will be returning to Bravo. I almost can’t even believe the words that are coming out of my mouth. I’m so happy.”
NeNe Leakes Says She Has Moved Forward
Leakes also suggested she no longer wants to carry negativity connected to her past disputes with Bravo executives or former coworkers.
She explained that moving forward has become more important to her than holding onto resentment from previous conflicts.
Leakes originally filed a lawsuit against Bravo and Cohen in 2022. She alleged the network allowed a difficult work environment during her time on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” The filing included accusations tied to former castmate Kim Zolciak-Biermann and claims that her concerns were ignored behind the scenes.
The lawsuit was later dismissed, but the fallout sparked years of speculation about whether Leakes would ever reconnect with the Bravo universe again.
While Leakes and Cohen are not as close as they once were, her latest comments suggest tensions have eased.
Fans have already started wondering whether the renewed communication could eventually open the door for an even bigger Bravo reunion down the road.
