Annabella Lovas, a reality TV star turned influencer, has been found dead on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria. As per a report in The Sun UK, authorities discovered the 32-year-old’s body in a natural pool in a remote area. Investigators believe she had been there for several weeks before being found on March 6. The location proved difficult to access, complicating early efforts to understand what had happened.
Identity Confirmed After Challenging Investigation
According to multiple reports, Lovas was not immediately identified because investigators were unable to rely on fingerprints and had little initial evidence.
Sun reports that police instead focused on distinctive tattoos on her shoulder and back as they worked to piece together her identity. Search teams also combed the surrounding area using drones and helicopters, but found no personal belongings or additional clues.
Her identity was ultimately confirmed through dental records, after evidence was submitted via Interpol.
Police Chief Pablo Fernandez Sala described the investigation as both complex and demanding.
“All we had to go on initially were some strange tattoos she had on her shoulder and back,” he said, Mirror reports.
“The mould of the tooth was sent through Interpol and provided conclusive data.”
While the exact cause of death remains unclear, authorities have said they do not believe Annabella Lovas’ death was the result of violence and are not treating the case as a crime.
Investigators are considering the possibility that she may have died elsewhere, with her body later carried to the remote location by flooding following severe weather.
The challenging terrain has limited efforts to retrace her final movements.
“Colleagues tried to reach the natural pool to reconstruct her last steps and carry out a visible inspection on the ground, but it was impossible,” Pablo Fernandez Sala said, as quoted in the Mirror.
“You would have needed to be a professional climber, not just any hiker, to reach the spot.”
From Reality TV Fame to Life Abroad
Lovas first gained public attention after appearing on the Hungarian version of “The Bachelor” in 2021, later building a growing following on social media.
She later moved to Gran Canaria after a battle with cancer, which reports suggest brought ongoing personal challenges. In late 2024, her family reported her missing, though she was later found safe at the time.
Authorities now believe she may have been living in difficult circumstances in the months leading up to her death.
As the investigation continues, officials are still working to understand better her final days and the events that led to the tragic discovery.
