Nine days after welcoming her twin boys, Georgie and Marley, “Married at First Sight UK” alum Holly Ditchfield and her fiancé, Aaron Summers, are mourning their deaths. The reality TV star had joyfully shared the babies’ births on August 27, 2026, revealing that they were born prematurely the day before, at 23 weeks and five days, with each newborn weighing just over one pound.
But after celebrating their milestone of surviving their first week in the world, the babies’ conditions took a turn and Ditchfield shared the heartbreaking news of their deaths in a social media post on September 5, announcing that both babies had passed away in their arms, hours apart.
“It has been the hardest, most heartbreaking, yet most magical 9 days of our lives,” she captioned photos of her and Summers holding their newborns in the hospital. “At 1pm on 03/09/2026, our darling Georgie peacefully passed away. Then, at 5am on 04/09/2026, his beautiful brother Marley followed him. 💔”

Ditchfield, who announced in June that she and Summers were expecting twins, vulnerably shared her deep grief in her post, writing, “My boys both took their final breaths in the arms of me and their daddy. There is no greater privilege, and no greater pain, than holding your children as they leave this world.”
“They gave us the most precious week of our lives, she continued. “A week I would live over and over again, just to have those moments with them. To hold them. To look at them. To love them. To be their mummy and daddy. My boys are together again now, just as they should be, and I pray with all my heart that they are finally at peace. 🤍”
Ditchfield appeared on “Married at First Sight UK” in 2024, but her connection with fellow contestant Alex didn’t last. She has two children, ages 16 and 12, from a previous relationship, per People. She met Summers after the show and the got engaged in 2025.
“Nothing could ever prepare you for losing your children,” she wrote in her September 5 post. “Nothing prepares you for having to walk your babies to a mortuary. We have seen and faced more in these 9 days than I ever imagined possible, and my heart feels completely bruised.”
“My body feels different,” Ditchfield vulnereably admitted. “It feels like a part of me is no longer here, because a part of me truly isn’t. I miss my boys more than words could ever explain.”
Before asking her fans to “respect how incredibly difficult this is,” for her and Summers, she wrote, “I would have given absolutely everything to have watched Georgie and Marley grow, to hear their voices, watch them take their first steps, and see the beautiful lives they deserved to have. But for 9 precious days, they were here. They were ours. They were loved beyond measure. And they will forever be our beautiful boys. 🤍”
“We are trying to process a pain no parent should ever have to know,” she concluded. “Georgie & Marley, thank you for giving us the most precious 9 days of our lives.”

Another sympathized, “I’m so sorry for your loss. Those boys fought so incredibly hard! Sweet dreams precious little darlings 🕊️🤍”
According to People, Ditchfield shared a message in her Instagram Stories on September 5, to express her gratitude for all the love, writing, “I have read so many [messages], but I honestly just don’t know what to say. I’m struggling to find the words, struggling to process everything and struggling to accept this is actually our reality. Some moments I feel like I’m going to wake up from the worst nightmare, and then I remember my boys aren’t coming home.”
After Georgie and Marley’s births, Ditchfield’s brother, Joshua, decided to run a half-marathon on September 13 to raise money for Leeds Hospital, where the newborns were fighting for their lives in the NICU. He quickly received more than 100 donations, raising the equivalent of $2,878 for the facility.
He wrote, “Watching Holly and Aaron stay so strong while Georgie and Marley fight hard every single day has inspired me to do everything I can to support them.”
