Former ‘Strictly Come Dancing‘ star Kelly Brook, 45, is causing a stir with her latest appearance on the British Panel Show, “Loose Women.”
According to Daily Star, she told a story of a previous engagement where she got cold feet on her scheduled wedding day.
Brook Shares Her Brave Moment After Getting ‘Engaged Very Young’
Brook, on a panel alongside Kaye Adams, Oti Mabuse, and Nadia Sawalha, revealed her love life-altering decision.
“I got engaged very young,” Brook told the panel, according to Daily Star. “And I felt like I was really, kind of, manipulated and coerced into something that I wasn’t ready for.”
She then revealed the moment that she realized she was making the wrong decision and made a brave one instead.
“From my point of view, I went along with it until the very last minute,” Brook continued. “Then was like, ‘Hang on a minute, I’m not ready for this now’.”
“It wasn’t like I jilted them. It was just that the whole situation was wrong.”
Luckily for Brook, this wasn’t a grand wedding with months of preparation and hundreds of guests.
“It wasn’t like there was a big preparation to a wedding and family there. I think if that happens, then it’s a lot more difficult.”
Groom-to-Be Pulled Out All the Stops
GettyContinuing on her story, Brook revealed more details about the day and that moment. Like, how the couple were ready to fly away together.
“The jet was waiting! We were going to Vegas that day,” the outlet reports she revealed. “It was like a movie, it was all very dramatic. I was just crying like, ‘I can’t do this! My mum’s not here!'”
She then explained how the whole situation made her feel.
“I was in a dress. It was just horrific. It was the most horrific thing,” she explained. “But, we stayed together and I think he came round to it and understood why.”
As for who her betrothed was at the time, she stays mum about it.
“I’m not going to mention who it was!”.
Brook Has Found Her Love
GettyBrook eventually found love. In 2022, she married Jeremy Parisi, 40, after dating him for eight years. Their relationship started in 2014, after Brook slid into his DMs on Instagram.
In 2024, the couple competed in the series, “Celebrity Race Across the World.” While that show was airing, the happy couple revealed that having children might not be “part of the cards.”
“Having children is not part of the plan at the moment. We’re blissfully co-dependent. I never knew that a relationship like this could exist,” she said, according to DailyMail.
In the past, Brook has been engaged to Jason Statham, Billy Zane, Thom Evans, and David McIntosh.
