At the time of the announcement, there was no information on a cause of death. But now, new information has emerged as the investigation continues. Concerned Friend of Kelsey Bateman Called for Help

The report says Bateman’s boyfriend became alarmed after some time went by without hearing from her, and contacted a friend, who in turn called first responders after discovering the scene.

A cause of death has not yet been released, as the medical examiner is still in the process of conducting an autopsy.

The reality show “Rock of Love with Bret Michaels” followed her quest to nab a spot as Michaels’ girlfriend as she competed against other romantic hopefuls. Michaels, 62, is known for being the frontman of the rock group Poison and songs such as “All I Ever Needed” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.”

Kelsey Bateman Remembered as ‘Coolest Aunt’ In Obituary

An obituary shared to the website of McArthur Funeral Services in St. George, Utah, said the family had “heavy hearts” as they announced their beloved aunt, sister, daughter, and granddaughter’s passing. The full tribute reads:

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kelsey Lee Bateman, who left this world unexpectedly.

Kelsey was a beloved daughter, sister, and best friend whose presence brought light and laughter to all who knew her.

Born to Brad and Lori Bateman, Kelsey grew up surrounded with love, from her parents, both sides of her family, grandparents, friends and wonderful neighbors whose relationships she cherished. She had a special bond with her sister, Kellie Jo and her brother, Braden, who both loved her deeply.”

Kelsey will be remembered for her giving and generous nature, her sense of style, hair cutting abilty, graduating from hair school, and being ‘the coolest aunt.’

Kelsey’s intelligence, quick wit and humor constantly astounded us. Most importantly, she had a gift of seeing people beyond their surface.

Though her time with us was far too short, Kelsey left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to really know her, to love her and to be loved by her.”
