Reality TV star and R&B artist Ray J shared with his fans in an Instagram video on Sunday, Jan. 25, that he is out of the hospital after being admitted for heart pain and pneumonia on Jan. 6.
During his update, the “Sexy Can I” artist said that his heart is only functioning at 25%. “I want to thank everybody for praying for me. I was in the hospital. My heart’s only beating like 25%, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, then everything will be alright, so thank you for all your prayers,” Ray J said. When it was first revealed that the VH1 star was admitted to the hospital, TMZ reported that a source close to Ray J said he received X-rays and an echocardiogram.

Fans of the multitalented star filled his comments with well wishes for a speedy recovery. Many also urged him to take a step back and relax from his everyday hustle and grind.
“@rayj I’m praying your heart recovers. Please get more rest!!! Love you,” commented one fan.
“Take care of yourself man. 25% is extremely dangerous so I hope you are following up with your doctors and being compliant with their recommendations,” said another.
“@rayj you have a lot of amazing things happening, just remember to take a moment to yourself and rest,” wrote a third.

Ray J was faced with that same horror this time around, captioning his post-hospital Instagram video, “Just almost died!!”
Despite the severity of his health, Ray J took the time to reveal plans for a third season of “For the Love of Ray J,” where a group of hopeful women will live under one roof to win the heart of the entertainer.
“I wanna thank the Zeus network for powering us and for bringing this new wave to us,” he said. “The Tronix network will be a full dating show network for the next six months.”
He continued, “We’re doing 25 dating shows with the hottest artists out, starting with ‘For the Love of Ray J’ powered by Zeus. With the right team now and the right infrastructure, this thing is going to be explosive.”
