‘The Great Christmas Light Fight’ Schedule
“The Great Christmas Light Fight” Season 13 premieres on Thursday, December 4. It can be watched on ABC and streamed the next day, Friday, December 5, on Hulu and Disney+. Tonight there will be two back-to-back episodes, starting at 9 p.m. ET. The schedule will remain the same over the next three weeks.
A photo of the schedule was shared on the official Instagram page for “The Great Christmas Light Fight.” The caption reads, ”Deck the halls and cue the lights, it’s almost time! Get ready for back-to-back festive fun when the new season of The Great Christmas #LightFight kicks off this Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. Stream on Hulu!”
The Families Competing on ‘The Great Christmas Light Fight’
Six families will compete and showcase their incredible houses and light displays. The families are the Palusso family, the Greason family, the Jimenez family, the Kopatz family, the Lunar family, and the Irvin family.
Hosts and judges, lifestyle expert Carter Oosterhouse and interior designer Taniya Nayak, will determine who goes home with the trophy and $50,000 in prize money. It’s going to be tough to judge the competition because the families have really gone all out this year. Oosterhouse spoke about what to expect from the season in an interview with On The Red Carpet, ABC News reports.
“Every time you walk out and the lights go on for the first time, that’s a magical moment because you get to see all the hard work…you get the feelings that go into it that come from their display, you know?,” he said. “It’s heartfelt, it’s meaningful, the neighbors love it, the community really digs it, and those are usually the best ones.”
Who Is Decorating Their Home This Festive Season?
But would Oosterhouse be tempted to get in on the holiday cheer and decorate his own home with these beautiful but over-the-top designs? In his interview, Oosterhouse revealed that his family wants him to do this, but he is hesitant after seeing the incredible creations featured on the show.
I’ve seen the best of the best. I really have. And I’m just gonna pale in comparison,” he said. “So what’s the point, really. When you see the commitment level that people will go to and the lengths that they will go to it’s hard to put up lights at your own house because I’m not that committed.”
