In the Thursday, January 8, post, Bonet shared an image of herself from a hospital bed giving the peace sign.

“I’d like to begin by acknowledging that we are not invincible, and our bodies require regular maintenance to function optimally,” she began.

Bonet, who first gained widespread attention as a contestant on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 6 and later on “All Stars” 6, revealed that she was admitted to a hospital for treatment of an abscess, a localized infection that required prompt medical care.
