A familiar face is heading to daytime’s newest soap. “Beyond the Gates” has added another veteran to its growing cast, with Ashley Jones officially joining the series.

1. Ashley Jones Made Her Daytime Debut In 1997
Soap vet Ashley Jones made her daytime debut nearly 30 years ago, starring as Megan Dennison on “The Young and the Restless.” She stayed in Genoa City from 1997 to 2000.
2. Ashley Jones Is Best Known For Portraying Dr. Bridget Forrester
While she got her start on “Y&R,” Jones solidified her status as a soap legend as Dr. Bridget Forrester on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Jones landed this gig in 2004, portraying the doctor continuously until 2013.
Following her nine-year run as Dr. Bridget Forrester, Jones made several reappearances from 2015 to 2025. Throughout these years, Jones also continued to stack her resume. She joined “General Hospital” as Parker Forsyth from 2016 to 2017, where she was in a romantic relationship with Kristina Corinthos-Davis.
Jones also made appearances on shows like “The Rookie,” “The Resident,” and “So Help Me Todd.” The veteran soap actor has also had a good run when it comes to Lifetime movies, even directing the film “The Perfect In-Laws” in 2023.

When she was five, the family relocated to Texas as Ashley’s father was a minister and took a new job at a church there. This was also when Jones filmed her first commercial, marking the beginning of her path into acting.
5. Ashley Jones Is a Mother
In addition to her acting career, Ashley Jones is a mother. In February 2016, Jones married Joel Henricks, an IT infrastructure manager.
Their son, Hayden Joel, was born in May 2016. The couple filed for divorce in September 2019.
Jones was also previously married to Noah Nelson from August 2002 to May 2009.
