Hunter Tylo last appeared as Dr. Taylor Hayes on “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 2019, but she is a rich part of the soap’s enduring legacy. Longtime fans would still like to see the actress return to the role she called home on and off for nearly 30 years, but the chance of that is pretty unlikely. Rebecca Budig is currently recast as Taylor Hayes, and Tylo has other plans.
Years ago, the actress worked on a memoir, but couldn’t speak as freely as she can now. Tylo made a recent appearance on “The Unexpected Cosmology Podcast” and teased her next project, a tell-all book!
Hunter Tylo’s New Book Is ‘Extremely Detailed’
GettyTylo’s original book, “Making a Miracle,” was released by Simon & Schuster in 2000, when she was busy working on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” To protect those around her, she chose to leave many of her juicier stories out of the book.
The actress made an appearance on “The Unexpected Cosmology” podcast and announced that she, along with the podcast host Noel Hadley, is working on a tell-all book.
Tylo explained, “I had to leave a lot of stuff out about things that were really going on there. I had to leave a lot of stuff out about what was going on in my marriage, things that were real-life problems. When you hear some of the stories that were in that book, then you hear what I was really dealing with on the set of The Bold and the Beautiful and the movie business in general, and my family life at home, now these stories will make sense to you.โ
“This will be extremely detailed. The book that Iโm writing will be more truthful. It will not be candy-coated, and it will not be there to glorify The Bold and the Beautiful. This is just going to be the real truth,” continues Tylo.
When asked about a potential title, the actress said that she is still working on it.
Taylor Hayes Has Been Recast Twice Since Tylo’s Departure
GettyHunter Tylo had a role on “Days of Our Lives” before finding her footing in daytime, as Dr. Taylor Hayes. She portrayed the Bold character on and off from 1990 to 2019. She was entangled in a front-burner love triangle storyline with Ronn Moss and Katherine Kelly Lang,.
Her character had three children, Thomas, Steffy, and Phoebe, who died in an accident.
Dr. Taylor Hayes has been recast twice since Tylo left. First, by Krista Allen, and she is currently played by Rebecca Budig.
