Labor Day is here, and that means that many soap fans are left to wonder if their favorite daytime dramas will air a new episode or begin their new week on Tuesday. This year, the only soap that will be preempted is “General Hospital.”
That means there will be no new episode airing on Monday, September 1, 2025, either on ABC or Hulu. Instead, GH will revisit an episode from earlier this year.
‘General Hospital’ Will Air an Episode From January 2025

In that hour, Kristina shared with Sonny that Sam had actually been murdered and Dante, who was already heartbroken, was devastated to learn that he couldn’t investigate her death.
Additionally, Brad leaned in on his blackmail scheme against Portia, and Brook Lynn was relieved to learn that Cody hadn’t revealed her teenage pregnancy. Lulu also shared an honest moment with Laura and admitted that she still has feelings for Dante.
The Fresh Action in Port Charles Will Pick Up on Tuesday
ABC“General Hospital” will return with a brand-new episode on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025, picking up exactly where it left off the Friday before. There is so much happening in Port Charles right now that missing even a single episode would likely mean that you’ve missed a lot. Ric is currently duct taped and gagged in Alexis’s basement, Portia and Curtis have ended their marriage, and Stella has been arrested.
The judge in Michael and Willow’s custody case is floating near the docks, and Sidwell has successfully poisoned Maxie into a coma. If that isn’t enough, nearly every bad thing in town can be attributed one way or another to the manipulation of Drew Cain.
