“General Hospital”
On “General Hospital” the feud between Willow and Jacinda is escalating quickly. But Michael shouldn’t be caught in the middle of their fights. Now that Jacinda has taken the huge step of drugging Willow, it’s time for Michael to move on.
Willow has enough enemies. And Jacinda doesn’t have a strong enough relationship with Michael to make her invested in a long-term fight with Willow. If it weren’t for Drew’s shooting, Michael and Jacinda would never even have gotten together.
Jacinda has served her purpose in Michael’s life. Now it’s time for both of them to move on. Michael needs to concentrate on finding a partner who can fit into his life and become a good stepmother to Wiley and Amelia.
A Relationship Of Convenience
It was always a little odd that Michael decided to continue dating Jacinda after paying her to be his alibi for the night of Drew’s shooting. The two aren’t a great match because their backgrounds and experiences are so different. Michael enjoys helping Jacinda with a legitimate career and enjoys her company. But they don’t seem like a couple that have any staying power.
If Michael and Jacinda’s relationship is just a convenience, which it seems to be, Michael is better off moving on and trying to find real love.
The Custody Case
Michael would be foolish to ignore that his relationship with Jacinda could affect his argument for full custody. Willow has a right to object to her kids being around someone with a shady past. Michael objected to the kids being around Drew, who everyone knows is also shady.
It just makes sense that a judge would consider the past of any romantic partner that either Michael or Willow has when considering which parent should have full custody of them. Michael is not stupid. He has to know that a close relationship with Jacinda could sink his chance to get full custody. Especially now that Willow is divorcing Drew and Drew won’t be in the children’s lives any longer.
Drew’s Shooting
Michael’s relationship with Jacinda on “General Hospital” could also be used against him if Willow managers to get Anna Devane to re-open the case of Drew’s shooting. Viewers know that Willow shot Drew. But Willow could use her influence as a member of Congress to force the PCPD to put Michael on trial for the shooting.
If Michael does get charged, he won’t have a good alibi because his alibi will be his girlfriend. Who has a history of lying for money, among other things. Willow could possibly frame Michael effectively enough to get him convicted of attempted murder. Then he would lose his kids forever.
Michael’s Had a Rough Couple of Years on “General Hospital”
Michael also deserves a better love interest because he’s had a rough couple of years and he should have a partner with real long-term potential. He went through a terrible divorce with Willow. Then getting blow up at Sonny’s apartment. A bitter custody fight. And losing little Daisy when Sasha had to leave for Daisy’s safety.
Michael Corinthos is a good guy who has been in a serious love drought for a long time. It’s time for the show to give Michael a better love interest that could be a good stepmother to his children in the future.
