“General Hospital” viewers were first introduced to Paige Herschell in April 2025, when Jacinda Bracken first appeared on the Port Charles landscape. Portia and Nina paid the escort to drug Drew Cain with ketamine in the hopes that he would publicly embarrass himself. He did more than that, but Congressman Cutthroat somehow managed to keep his job. He also amped up his reign of terror, promising retribution for anyone who had crossed him in the last year or so.
Nina and Portia paid Jacinda off and put her on a flight to Australia, in the hopes of never seeing her again. Of course, she has returned, and no one is happier about the turn of events than Paige Herschell, who is enjoying her time on GH. She recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest and gave some insight into her character’s dalliance with Michael Corinthos.
Jacinda was Originally Only Supposed to Appear in a Few GH Episodes
ABCPaige first heard from GH’s casting director earlier this year and was intrigued by the character of Jacinda. “I got this audition request back in February, and it was just a couple of episodes, maybe. It was such a shock to me when [the powers-that-be] offered it to me. She’s so confident, Jacinda, and I’m a little bit more reserved than she is. But it is so cool to play somebody so opposite of yourself, you know? It’s very fun. I’m having a great time.”
The actress was thrown right into the Port Charles fire, and some of her first scenes included Cameron Mathison’s character, Drew Cain, doing body shots off of her. Luckily, the environment itself and the people that Paige was working with put her right at ease.
“Cameron was so professional and is such a kind person. I know he gets a lot of crap online and stuff, but that’s just because he’s doing his job [of playing a villain] correctly! And because he was so available and ready to play, I think that my nerves just went away. Normally, I would be a bit more nervous, but because of his professionalism, and how welcoming everybody — the cast, the crew — was on set, it felt easier than I thought it would be.”
Jacinda and Michael Get Closer
ABCWhen Jacinda was sent off to Australia last spring, Paige believed that it was the end of her GH stint. “In the script, they banished her to Australia, and I thought, ‘Okay, well, that’s that! I had so much fun with everybody that I was just left feeling like, ‘Oh … that’s all? I want more!“
Jacinda returned looking for money. As luck would have it, she is Michael’s alibi for the night that Drew was shot. Paige is having a blast working with Rory Gibson, who plays the role of Michael Corinthos. “Wow, what a great scene partner. He is so grounded, and he’s such a sweet guy. I’m a bit of a neurotic person in my life; I’m a little chaotic and all over the place. But when Rory and I have had these scenes together, he just brings me to a calm state where we can really connect and play. I’m very happy that it’s him that I get to keep being paired with.”
Jacinda may have come back to town looking for cash, but the actress believes that Michael offers more than that. “A character can be both, right? She can be money-motivated, and also, there could be some chemistry there — and I think there is,” she says.
“I think we’re quickly seeing that she has a bit of a sweeter side to [balance] her manipulative side. I think she’s very much like, ‘We’re just gonna go with the flow.'”
What do you think of Jacinda and Michael together? Could sparks fly from their current business arrangement?

I think she has done a great playing her part. Expect to see her again.
