Kelly Ripa shared rare behind-the-scenes pics of her son Joaquin Consuelos’ Broadway debut, celebrating his “brilliant” breakout moment on the big stage.
The former “All My Children” star shared a slideshow of ten photos celebrating her youngest’s accomplishments on Instagram. The once-in-a-lifetime experience was not lost on the “Live With Kelly and Mark” host, who stood alongside Mark Consuelos as they cheered him on.

In the caption of her Instagram post, Kelly Ripa shared her thoughts about the experience of watching her youngest son make his Broadway debut. Her pride was evident in each photo and in her remarks.
“Scenes from opening night of the brilliant Salesman on Broadway [“Death of a Salesman”]. Directed by the incomparable Joe Mantello,” she began.
“Congratulations to the entire cast and crew on this astonishing revival, and to Joaquin Consuelos on your Broadway debut,” Ripa concluded.
The slideshow included snaps of Ripa, Consuelos, and Joaquin standing together at the play’s afterparty at Katz’s Delicatessen in Lower Manhattan and pics of their son standing side-by-side with his father. Ripa also included images of the party pass to get into the after-show celebration, and a photo of the Billboard Magazine handed out during the production.
In a listing of Who’s Who in the Cast, Ripa proudly showed off Joaquin’s artist bio. It reads, “Joaquin Consuelos: Young Biff. Originally from New York City, Joaquin Consuelos is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan’s acclaimed School of Music, Theater, & Dance. ‘Death of a Salesman’ marks his Broadway debut.”
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Share a Trio of Talented Children
The “Live With Kelly and Mark” talk show hosts share a trio of talented children they have raised as a tight-knit unit throughout their 29-year marriage.
Their firstborn is Michael Consuelos. He graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in May 2020, according to PEOPLE Magazine.
Michael is an actor and has appeared on the television series “Riverdale.” He was also employed by family friend Andy Cohen as part of the production crew for “Real Housewives,” “Summer House,” and “Winter House.”
Lola Consuelos also graduated from New York University. She is pursuing a career in the music industry and currently lives in London after spending a semester abroad there while attending college.
The couple reflected on their children’s accomplishments and how fast time flew from the time they were children until adulthood.
“We became empty nesters. We took our youngest son [Joaquin] to college, and we dropped him off. It was hard. It was really hard,” Ripa said, as reported by PEOPLE. “We dropped him off at school, and we gave him a hug — it was actually brutally painful. And I said, ‘I did not realize that 18 years would go so fast.'”
Consuelos is also starring in his own Broadway play. He made his debut in “Fallen Angels” in March.
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are the host of “Live With Kelly and Mark.” The series airs weekdays in syndication.
