‘Young & the Restless’ Mark Grossman Previews Adam’s Dangerous & Messy Return to Vegas

Mark Grossman is thrilled to be returning to Adam’s Las Vegas past on “The Young and the Restless”. The actor’s ready for fans to see this dangerous and messy storyline that brings back a blast from Adam’s past, and he even teased what’s in store for them.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Mark Grosman Previews Adam’s Vegas Return

Speaking with Soap Opera Digest, Grossman admitted he was excited to revisit Adam’s history as Spider. Fans will recall that in 2019, Adam was presumed dead after a cabin explosion, but turned up alive in Las Vegas. Adam had amnesia and no recollection of being a Newman or from Genoa City.

There is still a lot that is unknown about Adam’s time as Spider, which makes the new storyline even more intriguing for Grossman. Adding more excitement for the actor was learning that the CBS soap was bringing back Riza (Tina Casciani).

Grossman admitted that Adam’s weary of revisiting his past. However, he’s also determined to help Nick (Joshua Morrow) find Matt (Roger Howarth), which leads to some messy situations for Adam.

“Adam is just playing a role, right? He’s going to do whatever he has to do to get the information that he needs,” he shared with the outlet.

While fans don’t know the depth of Adam and Riza’s relationship, Grossman feels it wasn’t super deep. The actor thinks they had a transactional relationship, which Adam is now using to get information on Matt, making the Las Vegas situation even trickier.

Riza won’t make it easy for Adam either. Their reunion is anything but happy. Spoilers for the CBS soap tease that Riza holds Adam at gunpoint, taking his mission to a more dangerous level.

“Because he’s putting on a ruse that he wants to get back in the game. He has to really come at it from a different angle and try to play this role and put on this charade. Hopefully, she buys it — but it’s not going to be easy!” Grossman stated.

Thus begins a slippery slope for Adam as he reverts to card shark Spider mode. Adam’s playing a dangerous dark game that could cost him dearly.

Mark Grossman on Adam’s Dark Side

For years, Adam was the black sheep of the Newman family, and for good reason. Adam did horrible things.

However, over the past couple of years, Adam has turned his life around, earning his father Victor’s (Eric Braeden) love and his siblings’ Nick, Victoria (Amelia Heinle), and Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) respect.

Adam even found happiness as a family man with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and their son Conner (Judah Mackey). While Grossman likes playing this new softer side of Adam, he’s not opposed to having him turn back to the dark side.

“I always loved the edgy, dark stuff. It’s nice to see Adam get along with the family and have a better relationship with Nick. But so much of Adam is his edge, or the shady things that he’s got up to, and kind of walking that line,” the soap star explained.

Based on Grossman’s latest tease involving Adam and Riza’s reunion in Las Vegas, the actor may be getting his wish. What happens in Vegas will have a lasting impact on Adam and his loved ones.
