“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, January 7, reveal that Nikki Newman conspires with Michael Baldwin.
Lily Winters sends Cane Ashby mixed signals. Meanwhile, Diane Jenkins loses patience about Jack Abbott’s loyalty to Nikki.
‘The Young & the Restless’ Spoilers: Jack Defends Nikki
On Wednesday, Diane expresses her doubts about Nikki, but Jack is quick to defend her. “The Young and the Restless” spoilers say Jack points out that Nikki promised her she’ll do everything she can to get Victor to back off.
But Diane isn’t convinced that it’s the right move. She insists their best bet at the moment is Michael.
Jack notes that Michael is exactly the same as Nikki when it comes to their loyalty to Victor. Just then, Kyle Abbott arrives and tells his parents that Billy Abbott is planning to publish a story about Newman Enterprises.
“Victor has hurt us badly, I say we give him a dose of his own medicine,” he says.
But Jack wants Billy to wait for a little longer, adding that they need clear proof that Victor has used the AI software.
Lily Runs Away From Cane
CBSMeanwhile, Cane gives Lily a rose and tells her that spending New Year’s Eve together made him feel like a teenager again. However, “The Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Lily isn’t reciprocating the love, at least for now.
“I’m very confused,” Lily replies. “I let my defenses down.”
Lily then tells Cane she’s leaving town to see their daughter. “I just need to clear my head,” Lily adds. “And get away from you.”
Cane promises to give her some space, but Lily isn’t buying it. “I love the idea of you going to see Mattie, so why don’t you let me come with you?” Cane suggests, but she refuses.
“We are so beyond played out and if I have to leave town to make that message stick, so be it,” Lily replies. “What I do know is I am the last person you belong with.”
Then, Jack approaches Cane and tells him he wants proof that Victor used the AI to destroy Arabesque. “I’m willing to pay a hefty price,” he adds.
Cane says he’s not interested in Jack’s money, but suggests there might be a way he can find some proof.
‘The Young & the Restless’ Spoilers: Adam Warns Michael
At the Newman ranch, Adam puts Michael in the hot seat, doubting his loyalty to Victor. “We have to choose sides, and I’ve chosen mine,” he adds. “Which side are you on?”
Michael insists he’ll always look out for Victor’s best interests. He then shows Adam the Roman coin Victor gave him. “It’s a gift of friendship, from your father,” Michael says.
He also tells Adam that he isn’t the only one who’s worked hard to earn Victor’s trust.
“My father has a soft spot for you but I don’t,” Adam bluntly tells Michael. “And if you betray him, I will crush you.”
Later, Nikki arrives and asks Michael if he plans to help Victor destroy Jack. Michael says no, and admits he’s been quietly trying to stop Victor.
“The Young and the Restless” spoilers say Michael comes up with a plan to get their hands on the AI program and get away with it. He suggests they arrange for the blame to fall on one person, Cane.
“Could we do that?” Nikki asks. “Tell me more.”
