Following the premiere of “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans” on Wednesday (Feb. 25), two more castaways have been officially inducted into the franchise’s elite “100 Day Club.”
Honoring those who have played over 100 days of “Survivor” across multiple seasons of the longrunning reality competition series, the list had previously only featured 11 legendary castaways, including “Mount Rushmore” players like Parvati Shallow and Boston Rob Mariano.
After the Season 50 premiere, however, two new players joined the exclusive club, with both Colby Donaldson and Benjamin “Coach” Wade surpassing the 100-Day marker, adding an additional four days to their previous totals.
Colby and Coach Join ‘Survivor’s 100 Day Club
CBSColby Donaldson originally appeared on the cast of “Survivor: The Australian Outback” in 2001. The installment – the second-ever in the show’s 26-year history – notably featured the longest game to date, totalling a whopping 42 days compared to the typical pre-”New Era” standard 39.
As the season’s runner-up, Colby banked 42 days for his time on the season, adding an additional 19 days during his follow-up appearance on 2003’s “Survivor: All-Stars” and another 37 days during his run on “Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains.”
Prior to joining the cast of Season 50, Donaldson sat just below the 100-Day marker, with 98 total days played across three seasons. The premiere of “Survivor 50” – which witnessed the first four days of the season – finally pushed Colby over the hurdle, leaving him with 102 total days played.
CBSHe was joined in the 100 Day Club by Benjamin “Coach” Wade, who originally banked 36 days during his debut appearance on “Survivor: Tocantins” in 2009.
Wade added another 21 days to his total during his follow-up appearance on “Survivor: Heroes vs, Villains” before he finished 2011’s “Survivor: South Pacific” as a runner-up, scoring an additional 39 days.
Prior to joining the cast of Season 50, Coach was just shy of the 100-day marker, with 96 days of “Survivor” experience under his belt. The premiere of “Survivor 50” made up the difference, leaving Wade with exactly 100 days, a number that will continue to grow, even if he is eliminated in next week’s episode.
