‘Survivor 50’: Which Castaways Will Make it to the Top 10?

This week on “Survivor 50,” the 11 remaining contestants will battle it out for a coveted spot in the Top 10 as the milestone golden anniversary season draws to a close.

Before Episode 9 hits CBS screens nationwide on Wednesday, April 22, let’s take a look at which castaways are most likely to survive the impending Tribal Council ceremony and secure their place in the Top 10, as well as which player is most likely to get their torch snuffed by longtime host Jeff Probst by the time the credits roll.

SPOILER ALERT!!! This article may contain potential spoilers for Episode 9 of “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.”

The 11 remaining contestants competing to become the next “Sole Survivor” on “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans” are:

By the end of Wednesday night’s ninth episode, one of these players will join recently-eliminated castaways Dee Valladares, Benjamin “Coach” Wade and Chrissy Hofbeck on the Jury.

What’s Going to Happen in Episode 9 of ‘Survivor 50’?

According to the official CBS description for this week’s episode – titled “I Deserve All of This” – “After losing two alliance members, castaways spend the next day picking up the pieces of their broken alliance. The castaways face off against a surprise challenger during this week’s individual immunity competition. Then, upon returning to camp, the journey participant must read aloud an important announcement regarding their recent adventure.”

We know from sneak-peek footage that the “surprise challenger” mentioned above is none other than longtime host Jeff Probst, who will compete either alongside or against the remaining castaways in the show’s classic “Wrist Assured” challenge.

We also know that late-night talk-show host Jimmy Fallon will have a role to play in the forthcoming episode, with Fallon confirming in an April 21 interview on “The Tonight Show” that his “Survivor 50” role will take the form of a never-before-seen advantage

Following controversial cameos from Billie Eilish and Zac Brown, Fallon’s involvement had – until last night – only been referenced in the very first trailer for Season 50, in which castaway Christian Hubicki could be heard saying, “Jimmy Fallon could determine my fate in this game.”

It appears as if that moment, teased all the way back in December 2025, could finally come to pass this evening.

USA Today Power Rankings Place Rick Devens at the Bottom of the Pack

Determining which castaway is most likely to get eliminated on any given episode is a nearly impossible task, especially given how quickly alliances and power structures can change on a game like “Survivor” – particularly on a cast of all returning players.

According to power rankings provided by USA Today after Episode 8, “Survivor: Edge of Extinction” alum Rick Devens could be on the chopping block tomorrow night, in spite of his masterful fake idol play during the most recent Tribal Council ceremony.

“Look, we love Devens. He’s the Indiana Jones of idol-finding and the best Kirk that Christian [Hubicki’s] Spock could ask for,” wrote USA Today’s Cody Woodroof. “He saved his butt with his fake idol scheme at Tribal, no doubt about it. However, he might be playing on borrowed time at this point.

“How he navigates his fake idol gambit will determine how long he has left before heading to the jury,” Woodroof continued, adding, “We’d love a Devens win, but we just don’t see it happening right now. Playing in ‘the middle’ always has its risks, but he just made a big commotion and has lots of attention on him.”

While the outlet’s prognosis for Devens is looking good, it isn’t a total death sentence.

“Perhaps he can find his way out of this jam?” Woodroof speculated, adding that Devens’ game will live or die by how long it takes his fellow castaways to realize that his idol is, in fact, a fake.

DraftKings Predict Joe Hunter Could Be in Trouble This Week

Power rankings provided by DraftKings after Episode 8 offer an alternative view on how Episode 9 might play out, however.

According to the odds betting site, “Survivor 48” runner-up Joe Hunter is most likely to be eliminated during tomorrow night’s episode.

While the publication doesn’t go into specific details about why Hunter is the next to go, it’s no secret that Joe – alongside his “honor and integrity” alliance members Jonathan and Stephenie  – will be licking his wounds after returning to camp following the eliminations of both Coach and Chrissy at the last Tribal Council.

Joe’s seeming unwillingness to work with players like Devens and Ozzy in past episodes doesn’t bode well for the former finalist, especially after his alliance was shattered following the series first-ever “Double Duo” elimination twist.

94% of Kalshi Bets Predict [SPOILER] Will Be the Next Boot

Christian HubickiCBS

All that being said, a Kalshi odds betting market asking “Which participant will be eliminated from ‘Survivor’ Season 50 Episode 9?” shows that castaway Christian Hubicki currently stands at a 94% chance of going home tonight.

The site has so far accurately predicted each and every elimination on the milestone season, suggesting that elimination order was likely leaked by someone either on the cast or crew.

Hubicki, who became a fan-favorite during his time on “Survivor: David vs. Goliath” before returning for Season 50, dominated the pre-Merge portion of the game. That being said, it seems like his Jimmy Fallon-endorsed journey on the upcoming episode will indeed determine his fate in the game, with the vast majority of fans betting that he’ll join the Jury after Wednesday’s installment.

Be sure to tune in to a brand-new episode of “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans” on CBS on Wednesday, April 22 at 8:00pm ET to find out what actually happens.
