Adam Scott Opens Up On His Impression Of The Taylor Travis Wedding

“Parks and Recreation” actor Adam Scott has shared some unexpected details about Taylor Swift’s July 3rd wedding to Travis Kelce.

“You know what, I think the thing we walked away with, the impression we had more than anything, was that it was a real wedding. You had the sense that these are just people who love each other,” the 53-year-old said.

He added that despite the “grand scale” of the Madison Square Garden event, “it just felt like a regular wedding with two people coming together.”

He added, “Everyone teared up. It was a really lovely, lovely event.”

Craig Melvin asked if the actor earned “some serious dad points” from his teenage daughter, Frankie, for grabbing an invite to her favorite artist’s wedding.

“Sure did, except I didn’t bring her. So I lost some points at the same time,” he joked, adding that she stayed up so she could get all the gossip from her famous father.

The day after the nuptials, Scott shared a photo of himself and his wife, Naomi, alongside Paul Rudd and his wife, Julie Yaeger.

Taylor Swift celebrates with Travis Kelce #87 of the Kansas City Chiefs after defeating the Buffalo Bills 32-29 in the AFC Championship Game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

While neither Taylor nor Travis have posted any images from the wedding, nor told fans what happened, guests have been giving us hints about the big day.

The 1,000-strong guest list in New York included everyone from Selena Gomez to Cindy Crawford and Hugh Grant. The general consensus from the star-studded guest list is that despite the big crowd and lavish venue, the ceremony was incredibly down-to-Earth.

Brad Paisley, who attended with his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, called the nuptials “one of the least pretentious weddings” he’s ever attended.

Good Morning America co-hosts Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos also said, per People, that the nuptials were surprisingly “intimate.”

“It was as intimate as it could possibly be, given that it was Madison Square Garden. It’s hard to imagine that a place that big with such stars could feel so personal,” Stephanopoulos said.

“They had their neighbors, their high school friends. It was like any wedding that you would go to,” Roberts added.

British radio DJ Greg James also revealed a down-to-earth secret from the event. “The venue looked beautiful, and it was all decked out as a wedding venue, but you know, arena toilets are arena toilets, so just toilets, you know,” he said on his BBC Radio 1 show.
