As “The View” continues to welcome a series of rotating guest-hosts, fans are pushing for one in particular to return in a full-time capacity.
The ABC daytime talk series has turned to several women to fill in for Alyssa Farah Griffin while she’s on maternity leave after welcoming her first child in February. However, fans seem to be rallying behind one standout panelist to return.
‘The View’ Fans Want Sheryl Underwood Back
“The View” welcomes former co-host Abby Huntsman for a week of Hot Topics. She previously sat at the table from September 2018 through January 2020 alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sarah Haines, and Sunny Hostin.
However, in an Instagram post sharing Huntsman’s return, the comments’ chatter was all about former co-host Sheryl Underwood. Fans appreciated her candor and felt she fit right into the series. They are rallying for a more permanent place for the former “The Talk” host‘s position on the ABC series.
Fans wrote, “Can we have Sheryl Underwood back?” A second agreed, “She would bring a lot to the show permanently.”
“Here’s an idea! Sheryl Underwood says she needs a job. How about bringing her on at least until Alyssa comes back from maternity leave?” penned a third Instagram follower.
ABCA final fan wrote, “She was such a great fit for the show and she brought the fun back. You should make her permanent.”
Who Has Co-Hosted ‘The View’ Thus Far?
Abby Huntsman will co-host for the week of March 23 through March 28. She is one of a series of rotating guest co-hosts “The View” has brought on to fill in Alyssa Farah Griffin’s seat, as reported by Deadline.
Thus far, the co-hosts who have appeared on the long-running ABC series include reality star Savannah Chrisley, political commentator Amanda Carpenter, former The Talk host Sheryl Underwood, and comedian Whitney Cummings. Also appearing was Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who was a panelist on “The View” from 2003 through 2013.
The series has not yet announced a return date for Alyssa Farah Griffin, who began her maternity leave in February 2026.
She and her husband, Justin Griffin, shared a slideshow of images of their son, Justin Patrick Griffin, Jr., via Instagram on February 24, with a comment, “full heart.”
“The View” airs weekdays at 11 a.m. on ABC.
