Kelly Clarkson is officially heading back to the red chair, and fans of “The Voice” are already celebrating like the season has started early. NBC confirmed on May 7 that Clarkson will return as a coach for the milestone 30th season this fall. This will mark another major comeback for one of the show’s most beloved and successful coaches. Team Kelly Re-Enters the Chat
In big news earlier today, NBC confirmed that Clarkson would be returning to “The Voice” for Season 30.

Of course, Kelly made a return to the red chairs this past season, serving as a coach during the special “Battle of the Champions” season. That season only featured three coaches (her, Adam Levine, and John Legend).
It was a quick season, so it will be nice to have Kelly back for a regular, four-coach season (hopefully). The only other coach confirmed for Season 30 so far is Adam.
Kelly’s Return to ‘The Voice’
Kelly’s return to “The Voice” for Season 29 was huge news. She first joined the show as a coach during Season 14. Clarkson quickly became one of the show’s most recognizable coaches.
She would go on to coach “The Voice” for Seasons 14 through 21. Kelly then stepped away after her family relocated from California to New York. However, she briefly returned for Season 23 before finally reappearing on the show for Season 29.
During that time, Kelly found herself as the winning coach four different times. She won Season 14 with Brynn Cartelli, Season 15 with Chevel Shepherd, Season 17 with Jake Hoot, and Season 21 with Girl Named Tom.
Now, she is back to reclaim her red chair for this milestone 30th season.

To be honest, this news regarding Kelly Clarkson left many fans shocked. She is stepping back from her talk show, so it seems odd that she is now signing up to be a coach again on “The Voice” after her ex-husband’s death.
