What Girl Named Tom Has Done Since Winning ‘The Voice’

Girl Named Tom, the first trio to win “The Voice,” is returning to the NBC competition for a special All-Star Showdown as part of season 29’s Battle of Champions. The sibling group, made up of Bekah Grace Liechty, Joshua Liechty, and Caleb Liechty, first rose to national attention during season 21 and continues to build its music career.

The trio will compete alongside other past winners and finalists in the special episode, which airs April 6 on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.

Girl Named Tom Won ‘The Voice’ Season 21 as First Trio Champions

Girl Named Tom made history when they won season 21 of “The Voice” as the show’s first musical trio champions. Their Blind Audition performance of “Helplessly Hoping” earned a four-chair turn from Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, John Legend, and Blake Shelton.

The group joined Team Kelly Clarkson and delivered consistent performances throughout the competition. Their harmonies and arrangements stood out in covers such as “Dust in the Wind” and “River,” helping them secure the win.

The victory marked a milestone for the show and introduced the trio to a national audience.

The Season 21 Winners Released Multiple Albums After ‘The Voice’

Girl Named Tom has remained active in releasing music since their win. Before appearing on “The Voice,” the group independently released the EP “Another World” in 2019, which included their debut single “Barrier Island.”

After the show, they released the cover album “Hits from the Road,” which featured the original holiday song “No Snow for Christmas.” In 2022, the trio followed up with the holiday album “One More Christmas.”

The group released their third album in 2025, “…Wilder Then,” followed by an acoustic version later that year. In 2026, they released “Dust to Dust,” an eight-track album that includes their rendition of the classic “Dust in the Wind.”

Girl Named Tom Continued Touring Across the Country

Girl Named Tom also expanded its reach through touring. After their win, the trio opened for Pentatonix on the “A Christmas Spectacular” tour.

In 2023, they performed in more than 40 cities, showcasing both original songs and covers. The group continues to tour and is preparing for “The Trio Tour,” which is scheduled to run through August 2026.

Girl Named Tom has continued working with artists connected to “The Voice.” Ahead of their return, the trio performed with fellow winner Jake Hoot in Nashville.

The group’s involvement in the All-Star Showdown will again place them alongside past winners Javier Colon, Jordan Smith, Maelyn Jarmon, and Renzo.

CeeLo Green will return to select the winner of the showdown.

Tune into the epic showdown by watching “The Voice” on Monday, April 6, at 9/8c on NBC, or stream the episode the next day on Peacock.
