Kelsea Ballerini is speaking out for the first time since news of her breakup with Chase Stokes. In a new video, the former “The Voice” coach let an Ariana Grande song do most of the heavy lifting, but she lightly addressed the split.

On September 14, People first reported that Ballerini and Stokes had called it quits after nearly three years together.
Sources close to the couple told the outlet at the time, “They’re two adults who gave it their all and tried to do everything they could to make it work, but ultimately couldn’t. It happens.”
Neither Ballerini nor Stokes have commented on their split — until now. On September 23, the country singer took to TikTok to share her take on the breakup rumors.
In short, Ballerini asked people to stop speculating about what happened between the couple.
Her comment was short, but pointed. “cc: speculators, ‘sources,’ and hidden cameras outside the hair salon. let us be. please. ❤️🩹,” she wrote in the caption.
In the video, Ballerini looked straight into the camera while Grande’s song “shut up” played, bopping her head to the beat for a moment before taking a sip of her energy drink, and pointing out the phrase “shut up.”

Ballerini’s fans lit up the comments section to lend their support, but her video also left many people confused.
