On Sunday, February 8, Snoop Dogg’s 26-year-old daughter, Cori Broadus, shared heartbreaking photos capturing the moment she said a final heavenly goodbye to her baby daughter Codi Dreaux, who would turned one on February 28.
Snoop dominated old-school West Coast hip-hop before becoming a coach on “The Voice” in 2024. He shares daughter Cori with his wife and high school sweetheart, Shante Broadus, whom he married in 1997. He also has three sons, Cordell, Corde, and Julian.
Cori captioned a beautiful but heartbreaking set of photos from her baby daughter’s burial, “Part of me went with you, my girl for life.” She wore a tan suit with shades and pink sneakers for the occasion and sat in the graveyard surrounded by flowers for a photo.
In another slide, she showed artwork for the funeral. It was designed as a children’s illustration and read, “Codi Dreaux Takes a Trip to Heaven.” Another image read, “The princess has arrived in heaven,” and featured an illustration of the little girl wearing angel wings and holding onto a star as she floats upwards.
Cori Broadus’ Daughter Spent Almost a Year in the NICU
Before her passing, baby Codi Dreaux was in the NICU for nearly a year after being delivered prematurely at 25 weeks gestation. In September 2025, Cori made an Instagram video for NICU awareness month. In it she said, “I know this is a hell of a ride, but there’s nothing God gives us that we can’t handle. When we come in here, we try to make sure that our love is bigger than the wires.” She then gave a shoutout to her fellow NICU parents for “making me feel like I’m not alone.”
She previously shared her simultaneous feelings of heartbreak and elation when the little girl arrived 15 weeks premature, writing, “I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what God always shows me that He got me!
Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!! Thank You God for getting me this far.”

She wrote alongside another shot, “Village 2 strong, I’m so thankful,” and finally wrote to her daughter, “Fly high perfect girl.”
Legendary hip-hop artist Da Brat commented on Cori’s post, “May GOD continue to wrap his arms around you and your family. We are so sorry for your loss. I know you have I know u have all of your loved ones surrounding you but Aintee Brat is just a call or text away. Love u.”
