Two years after thrilling fans with his hilarious antics at the Summer Olympics, the legendary rapper is back as the unofficial hype man for Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympics. The three-time coach of “The Voice” was already spreading joy and excitement in Italy ahead of the Opening Ceremony on February 6, 2026.
Snoop is not only serving as a correspondent for NBC’s Olympic coverage, appearing during NBC’s primetime broadcasts. Snoop Dogg Served as a Torchbearer, Dancing Through Italian Town
On February 4, Snoop served as an official Olympic torchbearer, carrying the blazing torch through the streets of Gallarate, Italy. In a video posted by the Milano Cortina 2026 Instagram account, Snoop said he was there to show “peace and love,” and said it was “an honor to have this torch in my hand right now.”
The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” hitmaker drew quite the crowd as he walked and danced through the streets while holding the flame high. The Milano Cortina 2026 website said Snoop’s “presence ignited public enthusiasm and brought the energy of contemporary culture to the Olympic route. ”
Snoop Dogg Hilariously Lost His Cool While Sledding
Snoop lost his cool — only momentarily, though — as he agreed to go sledding down a makeshift luge-like track. Swearing as he sped down the hill and his sled spun around, Snoop yelled, “Hold on!” Once his sled came to a stop, the crowd applauded and laughed as he lay back in the snow, clearly relieved.
Responses to the video posted on NBC Olympics’ TikTok account were hilarious, including one person writing, “Dude, thats snoop on a scoop !!! 😂😂😂” and another who commented, “Watching Snoop Dogg on a sled at 6:48 am was not on today’s bingo card”
But US Skeleton world champion Mystique Ro won with her comment, featured on Team USA’s Instagram post, when she wrote, “I be saying that during my runs sometimes 😂”
Snoop Dogg Cheered From the Sidelines During the Quad God’s Skating Practice
Snoop also headed over to attend practice with figure skater Ilia Malinin, known as the “Quad God” for his insane quaddruple axels. Snoop also took a ride on the Zamboni, dressed in a huge faux-fur winter jacket and a shirt emblazoned with Malinin’s face.
Snoop Dogg Wore Curlers’ Faces on His Olympics Jacket
Early on February 6, NBC Olympics posted videos of Snoop attending the curling competition. In one, he was seen on the ice, observing the athletes and trying to learn the ropes.
He was also seen in the stands, watching USA Curling’s Korey Dropkin and Cory Thiesse while wearing a custom shirt with their faces on it and a “Coach Snoop” winter hat. They gave Snoop plenty to cheer about as he sat next to Dropkin’s mom.
According to Team USA, the Dropkin and Thiesse were the first US team to ever open the Olympics 4-0 and, in doing so, they “set the record for the most victories ever by a U.S. mixed doubles curling team at a single.”
