Season 28 of “The Voice” is just around the corner, and its Coaches are just as excited as viewers are. Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, Reba McEntire, and Michael Bublé have all been posting videos teasing their return.
Trae Patton/NBC“Everybody better watch out, these other Coaches don’t know what’s about to hit ’em because I’m ready to win this season,” Reba McEntire said in a video.
“The reason I’m really excited about coming back is because I know what’s happening now,” the Season 25 winner explained. “First season, I was very nervous. Didn’t know what to do, didn’t know what to say. The second season, better. Third season, better. Fourth season with these guys? It’s the best.”
So when does Season 28 of “The Voice” premiere? On September 22.
‘The Voice’ Returns With Fresh Talent and a New Twist
The newest season of “The Voice” will officially begin with a two-episode premiere on Monday, September 22, at 8 PM ET/7 PM CT on NBC. New episodes will air on Monday and Tuesday nights, and for those who miss it, you can catch it on streaming on Peacock the following day.
After six episodes of Blind Auditions, fans can expect four episodes of Battles, five episodes of Knockouts, two episodes of Playoffs, and then the Live Shows to determine a winner.
“The Voice” also returns with a new rule in place, giving host Carson Daly some power he’s never had before. Called the Carson Callback, Daly can now call back one singer who didn’t get a chair turn during the Blind Auditions.
Trae Patton/NBC“Sometimes I see great singers fall through the cracks,” Daly said in a trailer. “And I’ve never been able to do anything about it — until now.”
How exactly this works won’t be clear until the premiere, but it seems the contestant he saves from elimination will re-enter the Blind Auditions pool, getting another chance to impress the Coaches.
Snoop Reflects on The Unbreakable Connection Between the Coaches
On September 8, the Coaches got together to chat about the new season and McEntire kicked it off with a bang.
“When was the moment that you guys knew we were all going to be friends?” She asked them.
While Horan said that he felt friendship “pretty much from straight away,” Snoop’s response was much more emotional.
Trae Patton/NBC“I’m one of those kind of guys that the spirit gotta connect instantly off the rip, and as soon as I walked into the room, as soon as we sat down next to each other, you could feel it in the air, it’s in the spirit,” he said.
