Salma Hayek and her husband François-Henri Pinault have just become grandparents and could not be more overjoyed. Salma’s stepson, François Pinault Jr, revealed that he welcomed his first child with his partner, Countess Lara Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck on Instagram. Though the baby news comes as a surprise because both François and Lara kept the pregnancy tightly under wraps.

Countess Lara took to Instagram to share a carousel of sweet snaps featuring her little family of three, as well as a sweet caption about their ‘first month as parents’. In the first photo Lara is lying down outside on a red blanket with her newborn son, shielding him from the summer heat using a sunhat with a wide brim. She smiles and looks at him fondly as he holds his teeny arms up in the air, eyes shut.
The next photo shows Lara cradling the little one while sitting on the stairs in front of a beautiful building. Foliage creeps across the brickwork, creating a beautiful backdrop for Lara, whose sitting in a very summer-esque white dress.
Other snaps show proud new father François proudly holding his namesake, François and Lara tucking their baby into a bassinet and baby François lying down on a changing table. Penned in the post’s caption, Lara gushed about her baby as well as her husband.
She wrote: “my husband (the world’s coolest françois). and our son( the world’s cutest françois) … our first month as parents.”
Fans scrolling through the lovely pictures rushed to the post’s comments section. to extend their congratulatory messages, as well as to express shock over the surprise baby news.
One user said: “WAIT I MISSED A WHOLE CHAPTER!”
A second commenter shared: “This is iconic! Disappear and come back with the best gift the heavens could have blessed you with!”
Meanwhile others added: “CONGRATS!!! You’re glowing and what a beautiful name,” “Massive congratulations! He’s the sweetest,” and “My very best wishes for happiness and a long life to all three of you, my dearest Lara!”
