As a child star, Jodie Sweetin starred as Stephanie Tanner on “Full House” from 1987 through 1995. She reprised the role in the spin-off, “Fuller House,” from 2016 to 2020.
During the filming process, she became incredibly close to many of the cast members and made many wonderful memories.
Naturally, Sweetin wanted something special to commemorate her time on the set. In a recent interview, she revealed that she kept one very special item that her character held dear.
Jodie Sweetin Kept Stephanie Tanner’s Teddy Bear
The “Back to the Best” podcast recently featured “Full House” star, Jodie Sweetin, on their show. During the interview, she brought out an old friend for the hosts.
During the course of “Full House,” her character, Stephanie Tanner, had a beloved stuffed teddy bear she dubbed, “Mr. Bear.” After the series ended, Sweetin kept him.
“He sits right next to my desk,” she explained, hugging the stuffed animal. “This is the OG. He’s a little rumpled, great condition though.”
The actress quipped that Mr. Bear looks as if he “slept in his clothes for 30 years,” but he’s still in excellent shape otherwise.
In the comments, fans went wild for Mr. Bear’s cameo. Many shared their favorite memories of him on the show.
“Protect him at all costs😍” one declared in the comments.
“Good to see ya again Mr. Bear❤️” another added.
“That is the thing I would most like her to keep from the show! Amazing!” someone else excitedly wrote.
Jodie Sweetin Has Children of Her Own Now
After her run as a child star on one of the most popular shows of the ’90s, Jodie Sweetin went on to welcome children of her own. Her daughters, Zoie, 18, and Bea, 15, bring so much light and joy into her life.
Though Sweetin has high hopes for her girls, she wants them to follow their own pths.
“I want them to be, and they are, resilient people,” the actress told SheKnows. “I just want them to be happy with who they are and just learn how to be good humans. That’s really it.”
The ‘Full House’ Cast Misses Bob Saget Dearly
Though Jodie Sweetin still keeps in touch with many former cast members, they’re still sorely feeling Bob Saget’s absence.
“The ‘Full House’ group chat is very quiet now that Bob’s gone. He was always one of the first to say happy birthday, or the first to start planning something,” the 44-year-old told SheKnows.
“Every time we get together, there’s always a moment when we’re like, ‘Bob should be here,'” the actress explained. “It does break your heart when you get everybody together and there’s one person missing.”
Even so, the group loves sharing their favorite memories of Bob Saget. He may be gone, but he certainly isn’t forgotten.
“I just love the fact that we constantly talk about Bob, and I’m sure he would love that too because he loved the attention,” Sweetin added with a smile.
