While speaking with “Blockers” star Ike Barinholtz, Kate Hudson told a hysterical story about how Hollywood legend Jack Nicholson blew her cover wide open.
Kate Hudson Didn’t Want to Rely on Her Family Fame
Having famous parents can open many doors for budding entertainers. However, Kate Hudson felt determined to make it on her own. She didn’t want to rely on her family’s reputation to make connections. However, she was already well-acquainted with many big players in Hollywood through her parents.
In a new interview, Kate Hudson recalled how “A Few Good Men” star Jack Nicholson exposed her identity as she was trying to duck the “nepo baby” label.
“Jack Nicholson really ruined Kate’s plan,” Ike Barinholtz captioned the teaser from his podcast interview with the “Running Point” star.
“When I was young, a guy invited me to a party, and he’s like, ‘Do you wanna meet Jack Nicholson?'” Hudson recalled in the interview.
“I didn’t wanna tell this guy who my parents were,” the actress explained as Barinholtz exploded in laughter. “And then I go up, and he’s like, ‘Jack this is Kate. Kate, this is Jack.’ And Jack goes, ‘Hey, Katie. How’s your mom?’ That ruined my cover.”
In the comments, fans laughed over the hilarious memory.
“As if we couldn’t already see she’s Goldie 😂😍” one fan quipped, remarking on the striking resemblance between Kate Hudson and her mother.
“If I was Jack Nicholson I’d greet everyone like that,” another joked.

Between Thanksgiving and his mother’s birthday, there’s plenty of reason to bring the family together. Oliver revealed he was elated to celebrate his mother’s birthday. However, they opted to keep it “pretty chill because that’s what she wants.”
“I mean, trust me, I brought up everything like, ‘Should we go to India?’ And she just wants to keep it cool so we’re just going to keep it very, very family,” the actor continued. “And Thanksgiving, and then of course the holidays, Christmas, that’s where we all get together throughout the year — tight, tight family.”
